New Delhi, the 3rd September 2020
No. A-42/31/2016-O/o US (ADM)—Competent Authority has approved the proposal of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region for the waiver of re-payment of loan amount Rs. 54 lakh and interest thereon, amounting to Rs. 370.40 lakh (upto 31.03.2019), totalling Rs. 424.40 lakh plus the amount of interest that has accrued on total amount from 01.04.2019 till the approval of the proposal by CCEA i.e. till 27.11.2019, outstanding against the Sikkim Mining Corporation subject to the condition of return of an amount of Rs. 11.21 lakh accured from the sale proceeds of Sikkim Mining Corporation machinery (SMC) plus interest thereon.
2. SMC has deposited and amount of Rs. 17,36,784/- (Rs. 11.21 lakh plus interest thereon Rs. 6,15,784/- till 12.08.2020) on 13.08.2020 through RTGS in the account of PAO, MDoNER.
3. Accordingly an amount of Rs. 4, 60,34,132/- stands waived off towards loan of Rs. 54 lakh plus interest thereon Rs. 4,23,70,936 (Rs. 4,77,70,936/-) minus the amount accrued from sale proceed of SMC machinery Rs. 11.21 lakh plus interest thereon Rs. 6,15,784/- (Rs. 17,36,784/-), against Sikkim Mining Corporation.
