S.O. 330.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5 read with section 6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 (25 of 1946), the Central Government with the consent of the State Government of Maharashtra, issued vide Order No. CBI 2020/CR 441/POL-2 dated 22.01.2021, Home Department, Mumbai, hereby extends the powers and jurisdiction of the members of the Delhi Special Police Establishment to the whole State of Maharashtra for investigation into the offence(s) arising out of the complaint dated 26.11.2020 lodged by Chief Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Mumbai against M/s. Jaylon India Impex Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, its Directors, Jai Motilal Kaushik, Karan Jai Kaushik, unknown public servants and others, pertaining to criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery, using forged documents as genuine, abuse of official position and causing wrongful loss to the Bank of approx. Rs. 57.83 crores, under sections 120B, 420, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) and section 13(2) r/w section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (49 of 1988) (as stood before amending the Act, 1988 w.e.f. 26.07.2018) and any attempt, abetment and/or conspiracy, in relation to or in connection with such offence(s) and/or for any other offence committed in the course of the same transaction or arising out of the same facts.
