RESOLUTION
No. R-11021(12)/1/2023-OR-II/E-45621—Composition of the Safety Council has been revamped and broad-based by including more outside industry experts, academia etc. to make it more inclusive, in line with recommendations of Standing Committee.
In view of above, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG) Resolution No. R-13013/4/84-OR-I dated 10th January, 1986 and Resolution No. R-21016/1/2006-OR-I(pt-II) dated July 16, 2008 are amended as given below:—
i. The words "Nominated Board member of Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB); Nominated member from Member Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA); Nominated member from Director General of Shipping (DGS); Nominated member from Director General of Indian Coast Guard (DGICG)" to be included as a Safety Council member and to be added in the Line 5/6 of Para 2 after 'Chief Controller of Explosives' and before 'Advisor (Fire)' of the resolution No R-13013/4/84-OR-I dated 10th Jan, 1986.
ii. The words "Director, Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP) Dehradun; Director General, Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) and five Chief Executives from Private/ JV companies" to be included as a Safety Council member and to be added in Line 7/ 8 of Para 2 after 'Labour Institutes' and before 'as members' of the resolution No. R-13013/4/84-OR-I dated 10th Jan, 1986.
iii. The words "and at least two Chief Executives from Private/ JV companies, on rotation basis" as mentioned in point (i) of the Resolution No. R-21016/1/2006-OR-I(pt-II) dated 16th July, 2008 to be deleted.
iv. The words "Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB)" to be added in Line 4 of Para 7 after the word 'Chief Controller of Explosives' and before 'Inspectorate of Boilers' of the resolution No. R-13013/4/84- OR-I dated 10th January, 1986.
