No. FSA/2020/SPL-001.—Whereas, WHO has declared the outbreak of COVID-19 as pandemic.
It is necessary to take effective step to prevent further spread of COVID-19.
Whereas, COVID-19 transmits through droplets, there may be possibility of transmitting of COVID-19 by spitting of Chewing Gum / Bubble Gum / Panmasala and other allied products.
Whereas, under the law and in the interest of public health, the Commissioner Food Safety is empowered for prohibiting, in the interest of public health, the manufacture, storage, distribution or sale of any article of food, and whereas the undersigned is duly authorized under clause (a) of sub- Section (2) of Section 30 of the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 (Central Act 34 of 2006) to make this order.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under clause (a) of sub-Section (2) of Section 30 of the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006, I, Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Commissioner Food Safety, U.T., Chandigarh hereby, prohibit the sale of Chewing Gum / Bubble Gum/Panmasala and other allied products, or otherwise by whatsoever name called, whether packaged or unpackaged and / or sold as one product, or through packaged as separate products, sold or distributed in any manner, whatsoever, in the interest of public health for a period of three months from the date publication of this order in the official gazette of Chandigarh Administration, in whole of U.T. Chandigarh.

No. 28/59-IH(7)-2020/4340.—In partial modification of the Notification No. 28/59-IH(7)-2019/18258, dated 29.11.2019 with respect to Appointing and Disciplinary Authority (Minor/ Major Penalty) for All IAS/IPS/IFS/HCS/PCS officers mentioned at Sr. No. 1, the following matters shall require the approval of the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh:—
(i) To send proposals to Government of India for taking All India Services (AIS) officers on deputation to U.T., Chandigarh.
(ii) To take State Civil Services (SCS) officers on deputation.
(iii) To send disciplinary action proposals against All India Services /State Civil Services (AIS/ SCS) officers to the concerned disciplinary authorities.

No. Spl-HIII(3)/2020/4389.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 21 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to authorize the Deputy Commissioner, Union Territory, Chandigarh to appoint the Gazetted Officers in the Union Territory, Chandigarh, who are drawing the grade pay of Rs.5000/- and above as Executive Magistrate to be known as Special Executive Magistrate for the maintenance of law and order with regard to situation arising out of spread of Corona Virus in the District of Union Territory, Chandigarh till 30.04.2020.
