Order Under Section 144 of the Cr.P.C.
The 12th August, 2020
No. DM/MA/2020/15853.—In partial modification of the order issued by the undersigned vide No. DM/MA/2020/13335, dated 01.07.2020, whereby prohibition on movement of individuals for all non essential activities between 10:00 P.M. to 05:00 A.M. has been imposed in Chandigarh as a measure for containment of COVID-19, I, Mandip Singh Brar, District Magistrate, Union Territory, Chandigarh, hereby order that due to the occasion of festival of Janamashtmi, the timings of above said prohibition in Chandigarh only on the intervening night of 12-13 August, 2020, shall be between 01:00 A.M. to 05:00 A.M. so that devotees can go to temples and offer prayers.
The public in general as well as all the religious institutions celebrating Janamashtmi are directed to observe all the social distancing norms, wearing of masks, sanitize their hands, etc. and follow the guidelines/ protocols of the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as of the Chandigarh Administration in regard to COVID-19.
This order/partial modification shall come into force with immediate effect and shall be valid only for the intervening night of 12-13 August, 2020. Other conditions/stipulations of the above said previous order bearing no. DM/MA/2020/13335, dated 01.07.2020, shall remain in-force.
Any breach of this order shall invite action under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. In view of the emergent nature of the order, it is being issued ex parte and is addressed to the public in general. This order shall be promulgated by affixing copy thereof at the notice boards of the office of the undersigned and publication in the newspapers having circulation in the area, through the office of the D.P.R., Chandigarh.

No. 291508-HIII(3)-2020/8313.—On the recommendations of the Chandigarh Union Territory Managing Committee for Management and Administration of Special Funds for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Ex-servicemen in its meeting held on 27.12.2019, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to revise the rates and criteria of the following two schemes out of Special Fund for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Ex-servicemen w.e.f. June, 2020 :—

(a) Increase of Financial Assistance to Ex-servicemen (JCOs/OR) retired/released without pension, who are above 65 years of age and living in penury from Rs. 2,500/- P.M. to Rs. 5,000/- P.M. and criteria for annual income from all sources may also be increased from Rs. 3,500/- P.M. and annually Rs. 42,000/-to Rs. 10,000/- P.M. and annually Rs. 1,20,000/- respectively
(b) Increase of Financial Assistance to widows whose husband died in harness up to the rank of Sub Major or equivalent in Indian Navy & Air Force from Rs. 500/- P.M. to Rs. 1000/- P.M.
