Notification

The 14th September, 2020

No. 24/1/14-IH(5)/ 9598.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. S.O. 3267, dated 1st November, 1966, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Chandigarh Administration Secretariat (Group 'C') Recruitment Rules, 2015 namely :—

1. (i) These rules may be called the Chandigarh Administration Secretariat (Group 'C') (First Amendment) Recruitment Rules, 2020.

(ii) They shall come into force on the date of publication in the official gazette.

2. In the Schedule appended to Chandigarh Administration Secretariat (Group 'C') Recruitment Rules, 2015, in respect of the posts of Restorer and Staff Car Driver—

(i) In Column No. 6 : against the post of Restorer, the age for direct recruitment shall be substituted as under :—

"Between 18 years and 37 years (Relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years for appointment by Direct Recruitment and up to 5 years for other Government servants in accordance with the instructions issued by the Chandigarh Administration from time to time)".

(ii) In Column No. 6 : against the post of Staff Car Driver, the age for direct recruitment shall be substituted as under :—

"Between 20 years and 37 years (Relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years for appointment by Direct Recruitment and up to 5 years for other Government servants in accordance with the instructions issued by the Chandigarh Administration from time to time)".

(iii) in Column No. 7 : against the posts of Staff Car Driver, the Educational and other qualification for direct recruitment shall be substituted as under :—

(i) Matriculate from recognized Board/Institution.

(ii) Driving Licence of 'Light Motor Vehicle' (LMV) or 'Light Transport Vehicle' (LTV).

(iii) One year's experience of driving 'Light Motor Vehicle' (LMV) or 'Light Transport Vehicle' (LTV).

No. SW3/JJ Act/2020/9695.—In exercise of the power conferred by Section 27 of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015 the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint Dr. Satinder Kaur Sachdeva W/o S. Rupinder Singh Sachdeva, House No. 112, Phase-3B1, Sector 60, Mohali as Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee for exercising the powers and discharge the duties in relation to the children in need of care and protection under the provisions of above mentioned Act in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

The term of the Chairperson shall be for a period of three years w.e.f. 21st September, 2020. The Notification No. SW3/JJ Act/2017/6921-6935, dated 20th September, 2017 issued by the Department of Social Welfare Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration stand superseded on 20th September, 2020.

No. 11179.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub Section (1) of Section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, in concurrence with Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint Sh.Charanjit Singh Bakshi and Ms. Vasundhara Dalal Anand as Additional Public Prosecutors to prosecute and defend the criminal litigation pertaining to Chandigarh Administration in the Hon'ble High Court of Punjab and Haryana.

Notification

No. 9/5/11-IH(I)/2020/9346.—In continuation to Chandigarh Administration, Home Department's Notification No.9/5/11-IH(I)/2019/17317-22, dated 14th November, 2019 and in exercise of the powers conferred under rule 8 (iv) of the Census Rules, 1990 framed under Census Act, 1948 and in view of prevailing conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and postponement of Census work till further orders, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to notify that the date of freezing of administrative boundaries of all the Districts, Tehsils etc. is hereby extended from 31st December, 2019 to 31st December, 2020. This shall be effective from 1st January, 2021 and no changes, whatsoever, is effected after 31st December, 2020 till Census is over since finalization of administrative units is a pre-requisite for successful conduct of Census to facilitate Chandigarh Administration to undertake Census Operations 2021.
