Notification

No. 314658-HIII(3)-2020/11229.—In partial modification of Chandigarh Administration, Home Department notification bearing No. 287113-HIII(3)-2020/7473[E], dated 28.07.2020 relating to the grant of direct benefit transfer under the Scheme called "Incentive of Rs. 1 Lakh to the Cadets of UT, Chandigarh at the time of joining the Indian Armed Forces" and in compliance to the directions conveyed by the Government of India vide its E-mail dated 27.08.2020 the Administrator, Union Territory in pursuance of the powers conferred under Section 7 of the Aadhar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, makes following amendments, namely :—
(i) In the aforesaid notification dated 28.07.2020, for the words "The Zila Sainik Welfare Office (UT) Chandigarh" (hereinafter referred to as the Department) be read as "Home Department, Chandigarh Administration" (hereinafter referred to as the Department).
(ii) In the aforesaid notification, for para 1 (3) (a), the following shall be substituted
'if he has enrolled, his Aadhar Enrollment Identification slip; and'
The aforesaid amendments shall come into effect from the date of its publication in the official gazette.

No. 314658-HIII(3)-2020/11233.—In partial modification of Chandigarh Administration, Home Department notification bearing No.287113-HIII(3)-2020/7477(E), dated 28-07-2020 relating to the grant of direct benefit transfer under the Scheme called "50 Scholarship to the Wards of Ex-Servicemen/Widows, who has secured 60% and above in Class 10th and 12th and studying in next higher class" and in compliance to the directions conveyed by Government of India vide its E-mail dated 27.08.2020 the Administrator, Union Territory in pursuance of the powers conferred under Section 7 of the Aadhar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, makes following amendments, namely :—
(i) In the aforesaid notification dated 28-07-2020, for the words "The Zila Sainik Welfare Office (UT) Chandigarh" (hereinafter referred to as the Department) be read as "Home Department, Chandigarh Administration" (hereinafter referred to as the Department).
(ii) In the aforesaid notification, for para 4 shall be substituted as under :—
'Notwithstanding anything contained herein above, no child shall be denied benefit under the scheme in case of failure to establish his identity by undergoing authentication, or furnishing proof of possession of Aadhar Number, or in the case of a child to whom no Aadhar Number has been assigned, producing an application for enrolment. The benefit shall be given to him by verifying his identity on the basis of other documents as mentioned in clauses (b) and (c) of the proviso of sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph 1, and where benefit is given on the basis of such other documents, a separate shall be maintained to record the same, which shall be reviewed and audited periodically by the Department through its implementing Agency.'
The aforesaid amendments shall come into effect from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
