Notification
The 7th January, 2021
No. 41/8/258-UTFI(5)-2020/274.—Whereas a Preliminary Notification was issued by the Chandigarh Administration vide No. 41/8/258-UTFI(5)-2019/19922, dated 11th December, 2019 that the land in Village Kishangarh, Manimajra, Hadbast No. 375, U.T., Chandigarh is required to be acquired for "Construction of Government Model High School, Community Centre and Tubewell". However, no declaration could be issued under sub section (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 within a period of 12 months from the date of aforesaid notification which expired on 10th December, 2020, as working of the Land Acquisition Office, U.T., Chandigarh remained closed for almost 04 months due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub section (7) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification No. S.O. 2913(E), dated 9th September, 2016 and all other powers in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh hereby extends the time for publication of such declaration under Section 19 (1) of the Act, 2013 for further period of 03 months w.e.f. 10th December, 2020 to 9th March, 2021.
