No. F/274-HIII(1)-2021/639.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (s) of section 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), the Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh hereby directs and declares with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the place specified in column (1) of the Schedule hereunder as "Police Station" for the areas specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) thereof, in respect of the investigation of Scheduled offences under the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) for exercising the powers under the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) :—

No. 2/7/241-H-III(7)-2021/602.—In pursuance to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, New Delhi notification issued vide No. RT-25043/03/2017-RS, dated 19.12.2019 and in supersession of earlier notification issued by the Transport Department, Chandigarh Administration vide No. 2/7/241-H-III(7)- 2019/2498, dated 22.02.2019, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to constitute Member of Parliament District Road Safety Committee for U.T., Chandigarh to promote awareness amongst road users. The Committee shall be headed by the Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Chandigarh, consisting of following Members :—

(II) The Terms of Reference of the ibid Member of Parliament District Road Safety Committee
is as under :—
(i) Monitoring of road safety activities in the district
(ii) Monitoring of road accidents data
(iii) Identification and study of causes of road accidents
(iv) To provide suggestions to the National / States Road Safety Council
(v) Reviewing and monitoring of the work relating to identification and rectification of black spots as per protocol and all road engineering measures
(vi) Ensuring implementation of road safety standards
(vii) Create and implement road safety action plan for the city with specific targets for accident / fatality reduction
(viii) To discuss and strengthen the implementation of 4 E's Programme i.e. Education, Enforcement, Emergency care and Engineering
(ix) Reviewing of the speed limits and traffic calming measures
(x) Formulation of strategies to motivate Good Samaritans in the U.T., Chandigarh (xi) Establishment of traffic park-cum-training centre at city
(xii) Promoting road safety campaign in the U.T., Chandigarh
(xiii) To discuss any other issue related to road safety
(III) The Committee will meet at least once in a quarter or at such frequency as it may decide. Minutes of the meeting alongwith action taken on the decisions of the previous meetings shall be sent to the Director General of Police and Secretary Transport, U.T., Chandigarh. The same shall also be uploaded on the website of the Chandigarh Administration.

No. 2/3/40-H-III(7)-2021/309.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 13 of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1924, as in force in the Union Territory of Chandigarh as amended from time to time read with Rule 8 (I) of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation Rules, 1925 and the Notification No. G.S.R. 366 (E), dated 15.06.2006 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to exempt three hundred ninety (390) number of Solid Waste Management Vehicles (Closed Garbage Tipper 3.3 cum mounted on TATA V30) of Chandigarh Smart City Limited, from the liability to pay road tax.
