No. A-1/2020/138.—The Adviser to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (Class-I) as well as in terms of PSEB Service of Engineers (Electrical) Recruitment Regulation, 1965 as amended from time to time, is pleased to promote Shri Gurbhag Singh, Circle Head Draftsman to the next grade of Assistant Engineer in the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh on regular basis in the pay scale of Rs.16650-39100 + Rs.5800.00 Grade Pay.
Further, the promotion of the aforesaid official as Assistant Engineer will be subject to the following conditions :—
(i) that Shri Gurbhag Singh on his promotion as Assistant Engineer (Electrical) require to serve as Junior Engineer (Grade-II) for a period of six months in his own pay scale from the date of joining and will be entitled for benefit of promotion after the successful training of six months;
(ii) that the officer on successful training of six months as Junior Engineer (Grade-II) would be posted as Assistant Engineer (Electrical) in Circle office for a minimum period of two years;
(iii) that the promotion of the above officer is subject to the final outcome of OA NO.060-01446-2018 titled Ajay Dhiman Vs. UT Chandigarh and others; and
(iv) that the officer will be on probation for a period of one year after the completion of successfully training of six months as Junior Engineer (Grade-II).
