No. 03.—The Adviser to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (Class-I) in terms of regulation 10 (1) (b) of the PSEB Service of Engineers (Electrical) Recruitment Regulation, 1965 as amended from time to time, is pleased to promote Shri Gurmail Singh, Additional Assistant Engineer (Diploma) to the next grade of Assistant Engineer (Diploma) in the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh on regular basis in the pay scale of Rs.16650-39100 + Rs.5800.00 Grade Pay with immediate effect.
Further, the promotion of the aforesaid official as Assistant Engineer will be subject to the following conditions :
(i) opening of sealed cover in the case of Shri Sham Lal, AAE (Under suspension) who is otherwise senior in the seniority list;
(ii) final outcome of OA No. 060-01446-2018 titled Ajay Dhiman Vs. U.T. Chandigarh and others and OA No.-060-00445-2020 titled Ajay Dhiman Vs. U.T. Chandigarh and others which are pending before the Hon'ble Tribun al.
He will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of his joining.

No. 228.—In pursuance of instructions issued by the Finance Department, Chandigarh Administration vide letter No.7000/1/2-F&PO(7)-2020/12240, dated 17.09.2020 and based on the revised Pay Scales granted to different categories of employees with effect from 01.01.2006 in the Chandigarh Administration in pursuance to the recommendations of the Fifth Punjab Pay Commission issued by the Finance Department, Chandigarh Administration vide letter No.7000/1/2/-F&PO (7)-2009/4029, dated 11.06.2009 and further based on the 7th Central Pay Commission, the following higher pay scale are hereby granted to the posts of Junior Engineer, Junior Technician and Peon in the Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh, as indicated in column No. 4 with immediate effect :

2. The grant of the aforesaid revised higher pay scales are subject to the following conditions as per Punjab Government, Finance Department (Finance Personnel-I Branch) letter No.7/87/2020-5FP1/1145, dated 29.10.2020 and letter No.7/87/2020-5FP1/1361, dated 18.12.2020 :
(i) The instruction issued by the Government of Punjab, Department of Finance vide letter No. 7/204/2015-4F.P.1/60, dated 15.01.2015 duly adopted by this Administration vide letter No. 28/70-IH(7)-2015/14387, dated 10.07.2015 and letter No. 28/70-IH(7)-2016/33437, dated 22.12.2016 respectively, shall be applicable in toto.
(ii) Except the aforesaid basic pay attached to various posts as indicated in Column No. 4 as and when the Government of Punjab will take decision for grant of other allowances, the same will be implemented.
(iii) After receipt of the report of 6th Punjab Pay Commission, no further revision shall be effected in these pay scale /matrix for the newly recruited persons to the aforementioned categories of posts.
3. It is clarified that these pay scale/matrix shall be applicable to the persons to be recruited in future against the above mentioned posts and shall not be applicable to the existing incumbents in any manner, whatsoever in terms of the Punjab Government, Department of Finance letter No. 7/42/2020-5FP1/ 741-746, dated 17.07.2020 as adopted by the Finance Department, Chandigarh Administration vide letter No. 7000/1/2-F&PO(7)/2020/12240, dated 17.09.2020.
4. These Pay scale/matrix shall also be applicable for the posts wherever the recruitment/appointment (Direct /Compassionate) process has been initiated.

No.7000/1/79-F&PO(7)-2021/4822, dated 30.04.2021 as well as with the approval of the Principal Secretary (Engineering), Union Territory, Chandigarh.
