No. 02.—The Adviser to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (Class-I) in terms of Regulation 10.1 (b) of the PSEB Service of Engineers (Electrical) Recruitment Regulation, 1965 as amended from time to time, is pleased to promote Shri Pankaj Kumar Gautam, Additional Assistant Engineers to the next grade of Assistant Engineer in the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh on regular basis in the pay scale of Rs.16650-39100 + Rs.5800.00 Grade Pay with immediate effect :
The promotion of the aforesaid officials as Assistant Engineer will be subject to the final outcome of OA No.-060-00445-2020 titled Ajay Dhimnan Vs. U.T. Chandigarh and others which is pending before the Hon'ble Tribunal and subject to the passing of ICT skill within one year failing which their promotion order will be withdrawn as prescribed in the guidelines issued by the DOP vide letter dated 27.05.2020.
He will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of his joining.

No. A-3/2022/IST AMENDMENT/Group-C/03.—In partial modification of Notification No. A-3/2007/81, dated 12th of July, 2007 in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs's Notification No. GSR No. 3267, dated 1st November, 1966 read with Notification No. 28/1/29/92-IH(7)-1766, dated 24.01.1992, the Adviser to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Circle Cadre Ministerial Staff Group 'C' posts, Engineering Department, Chandigarh Recruitment Rules, 2007 :
1. These rules may be called the Circle Cadre Ministerial Staff Group `C' posts of Engineering Department, Chandigarh (Ist Amendment) Recruitment Rules, 2022.
2. They shall come into force with effect from the date of issuance of this notification.
3. In the Circle Cadre Ministerial Staff Group `C' posts, Engineering Department, Chandigarh Recruitment Rules, 2007 for the post of Circle Assistant/Assistant Revenue Accountant mentioned at Serial No.4, the following note shall be inserted in Column NO.12 after Clause (i) and (ii) :
Note: Provided that 20% quota would operate only if as per seniority, no senior person
is available under 80% quota meaning thereby a person who is senior and has passed
the departmental examination would not be superseded by a junior person who has
not passed the examination.
All other rules as provided in the notified recruitment rules dated 12th July 2007 shall remain unchanged.

Subject : Revision of Pay Scales in pursuance of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited
(Revised Pay), Regulations 2021.
No. A3/2022/04.—The Punjab State Power Corporation limited has revised the scales of pay of their employees and also framed the Punjab State Power Corporation limited (Revised Pay), Regulations, 2021, vide their Finance Circular No. 12/2021 issued vide Office Order bearing No. 19/PRC-502/2016, dated 17th November 2021. These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on and with effect from the First day of January, 2016.
2. In pursuance of the Finance Department, Chandigarh Administration letter bearing No. 670-F&PO(7)-99/7649 dated 06th July, 1999 read with letter dated 10th June, 1999 of Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to adopt the Punjab State Power Corporation limited "Regulations called the Punjab State Power Corporation limited CHD. ADMN. GAZ., APRIL 12, 2022 ( CHTR. 22, 1944 SAKA) 385 (Revised Pay), Regulations, 2021, dated 17th November 2021 as referred to in para above with immediate effect in respect of the employees of the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration, already drawing pay on PSPCL pattern earlier known as PSEB pattern and the deputationists from the PSPCL subject to the following amendments :—
Regulation 3(d) "PSPCL" referred to in rule 3(d) of these Regulations dated 17th November 2021 shall mean the "Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department of Chandigarh Administration".
Regulation 6 Exercise of Option-(1) The Government employee shall exercise option in the Form appended to these regulations so as to reach the authority specified in sub- xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
regulations (2), within a period of two months from the date of issue of these regulations by the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department.
Provided that : (i) in the case of a Government employee, who on the date of notification of these regulations by the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration, is on Ex-India leave or on deputation or on foreign service or on active service, the option shall be exercised in the said Form so as to reach the said authority within a period of one month from the date of his taking the charge of his post under the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration, if that date is later than the date specified in this sub-regulation; and (ii) Where a Government employee is under suspension on the date of issue of these regulations by the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration, the option shall be exercised within a period of one month from the date of his return to his duty, if that date is later than the date specified in this sub- regulation.-2-
Regulation 8. Drawl of revised pay. (1) The revised pay under these regulations shall be drawn from the first day of October, 2021.
Regulation 9. Arrear of revised pay. Notwithstanding anything contained in these regulations, the decision of Chandigarh Administration regarding payment of arrears with effect from the 1st day of January 2016 to 30th day of September 2021 will be taken in due course of time.
Regulation 12(V) In case of Government employee, who stands promoted during the period from 1st day of January 2016 to the date of notification of these regulations by the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration, the option may be exercised within a period of three months from the date of such notification.
The option once exercised, shall be final.
This issues with the approval of Hon'ble the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh.

No. A-1/2022/05.—The Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (Class-I) is pleased to promote Shri Daleep Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer to the next grade of Executive Engineer in the Electricity Wing of the Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh on regular basis in the pay scale of Rs.16650-39100 + Rs.8500.00 Grade Pay with immediate effect in terms of the PSEB Service of Engineers (Electrical) Recruitment Regulation, 1965 as amended from time to time. Further, the promotion of the above officer as Executive Engineer (Electricity) will be subject to the following conditions :
(i) that in case Er. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Executive Engineer (Electricity) (presently on deputation as SE Electrical with DDA) joined back in the Engineering Department, UT, Chd, the officer will be reverted to the former post of Assistant Executive Engineer;
(ii) that the promotion of the recommended officers is subject to the final outcome of the CWP No.595 of 2018 titled U.T. Chandigarh Vs. CAT and Surinder Kumar, AEE and CWP No.13088 of 2018 titled Rohit Kumar Sekhri Vs. CAT and Surinder Kumar which are pending before the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
He will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining.
