No. 01.—The Adviser to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh on the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (Group-A) held in UPSC New Delhi as well as in terms of rules called "Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil) in Building and Road Wing, Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh in terms of the Amended Recruitment Rules dated 24.06.2020, is pleased to promote the following Junior Engineers (Civil) to the next grade of Sub Divisional Engineer's (Civil) in the Building and Road Wing of the Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh on regular basis in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100+5400 Grade Pay with immediate effect :

Further, the promotion of the aforesaid Junior Engineers (Civil) as Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil) will be subject to the following terms and conditions :

(i) Subject to the judgement dated 28.01.2022 of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Jarnail Singh & Ors. in Civil Appeal No.629 of 2022 arising out of SLP(C) No.30621 of 2011 , any promotion order shall be subject to further orders that may be passed by the Supreme Court in the said batch of cases;

(ii) They will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of their joining
