The 20th February, 2023
No. SW1/SrC/2023/1361.—In pursuance of the provisions of sub clause (2) of Rule 21 under Chapter VII of "The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009", the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to reconstitute the State Council of Senior Citizens to advise the State Government on effective implementation of "The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007" and to perform such other functions in relation to Senior Citizens as the State Government may specify :—

The term of the members of the State Council, other than ex officio members shall be for a period of three years.
This supersedes all previous notifications regarding constitution of State Council of Senior Citizens in U.T. of Chandigarh.
