No.C-30213-FII(8)-2023/7522.—In partial modification of Notification issued by Local Government Department, Chandigarh Administration, bearing No. C-30213-FII(8)-2022/671-673, dated 14.01.2022, in exercise of powers conferred by section 20 of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 read with Rule-4 (Chapter III) of Union Territory of Chandigarh, Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules, 2015, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma, S/o Sh. Roshan Lal Sharma, R/o H.No. 2842, Sector 38-C, Chandigarh as Member of Grievance Redressal & Dispute Resolution Committee for Union Territory, Chandigarh, for the redressal of grievances or resolution of disputes of Street Vendors, due to resignation submitted by Sh. Surjit Singh S/o Sh. Pritam Singh, Member (mentioned in Sr. No.2 at abovementioned Notification dated 14.01.2022). The terms & condition will be same as in Notification dated 14.01.2022.

No. 2/7/210-H-III(7)-2023/7430.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 1 of Section 13 of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1924 (Punjab Act 4 of 1924) as in force in the Union Territory of Chandigarh as amended from time to time and in view of communication No. F. No. RT-23018 (24Y2019-T), dated 17.7.2019 of Govt. of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, New Delhi and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to exempt Tax (which is otherwise leviable under the provision of the said Act of 1924) on battery operated vehicles on all categories in Union Territory, Chandigarh to promote national or public interest for the period of five years i.e. from 18.3.2023 to 17.3.2028.

No. 2/7/210-H-III(7)-2023/7434.—As per the Electric Vehicle Policy issued by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 1 of Section 13 of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1924 (Punjab Act 4 of 1924) as in force in the Union Territory of Chandigarh as amended from time to time and in view of communication No. F. No. RT-23018 (24Y2019-T), dated 17.7.2019 of Govt. of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, New Delhi and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to exempt Tax (which is otherwise leviable under the provision of the said Act of 1924) on Electric & Hybrid vehicles (Strong Hybrid and Plug-in-Hybrid) Purchased and Registered in the Union Territory, Chandigarh for the period of five years from the issuance of this notification.
