No. LDE-2/2017/6-(Rectt-12)2023/ 9265.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (3) and (7) of Section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 read with Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi Notification bearing No. S.O.183(E) dated 20.03.1974, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to appoint S/Sh. Pargat Singh and Dinesh Kumar Deputy District Attorney, Law & Prosecution Department, Chandigarh Administration, as Additional Public Prosecutor for the local area comprising the whole of the Union Territory of Chandigarh for conducting prosecution in the Courts in Chandigarh.

AND In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 read with Notification bearing No. S.O.183(E) dated 20.03.1974, the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to appoint Sh. Dinesh Kumar Assistant District Attorney, Law & Prosecution Department, Chandigarh Administration as Assistant Public Prosecutor for the local area comprising the whole of the Union Territory of Chandigarh for conducting prosecution in Courts in Chandigarh.

AND In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 32 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to appoint S/Sh. Dinesh Kumar and Pargat Singh, Deputy District Attorney, Law & Prosecution Department, Chandigarh Administration, as Special Public Prosecutor for conducting prosecution of the cases in the Special Court specified under the provisions of the aforesaid Act of 2012.

AND The Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint S/Sh. Dinesh Kumar, Pargat Singh, Deputy District Attorney and Sh. Dinesh Kumar, Assistant District Attorney as Government Pleader under sub-section (7) of Section 2 of Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 for the whole of the Union Territory of Chandigarh and authorizes them to perform all or any of the functions expressly provided in the said code on the Government Pleader.
