No. C.E./G-1/2024/202.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (d) of Section 15 of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (Central Act 52 of 2001), the Hon'ble Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh under the powers delegated by the Hon'ble President of India and orders issued vide Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi Notification No. S.O. 593(E), dated 24th April 2006, is pleased to establish an "Energy Management Cell" (EMC) under the purview of the Engineering Department and designate it as the "State Designated Agency Chandigarh" to coordinate, regulate, and enforce the provisions of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 within the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The organizational structure of the Energy Management Cell (EMC) is detailed in "Annexure-A".

No. 9101.—In exercise of powers conferred by Section 4 of the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Punjab Act No. 8 of 2005) as extended to the Union Territory of Chandigarh and all other powers enabling him in this behalf and in pursuance to the concurrence given by the Hon'ble Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court, as conveyed vide letter No. 342/Spl/5 Exc. Cell dated 19.03.2024, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is pleased to appoint Sh. Rajeev Verma, I.A.S, Adviser to the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh as Chairman of the Chandigarh Value Added Tax Tribunal to hear and decide the appeals pertaining to the VAT cases in whole of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
