No. 435042-HIII(2)-2024/8988.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 37 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act 46 of 2023) read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.S.O 2506(E) dated 28th June, 2024, the Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh is pleased to establish a Police Control Room situated at Chandigarh Police Headquarter, 3rd Floor, Sector 9D, U.T., Chandigarh as 'Designated Police Control Room' for the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
The Inspector/Incharge of said Police Control Room, Police Headquarter, Sector 9D, Chandigarh shall be 'Designated Police Officer' for the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
The Station House Officer (SHO)/Officer In-charge of every Police Station of UT Chandigarh shall be the 'Designated Police Officer' and he shall be responsible for maintaining the information about the names and addresses of the persons arrested, nature of the offence with which charged, which shall be prominently displayed in any manner including any digital mode in every Police Station. The said information shall be forwarded on daily basis by such 'Designated Police Officer' of every Police Station to the 'Designated Police Officer' of Police Control Room, Police Head Quarter, 3rd Floor, Sector 9D, U.T., Chandigarh and he shall be responsible for displaying the aforementioned information at Police Control Room, Sector 9D, UT, Chandigarh as well.
2. The said notification shall come into effect from the 1st July, 2024.

No. 435042-HIII(2)-2024/8993.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs vide Notification No.S.O 2506(E) dated 28th June, 2024 the Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh is pleased to notify the following places as "Designate Place" for the purposes of proviso to sub-section (3) of Section 265, proviso to sub-section (2) of Section 266 and Section 308 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act 46 of 2023) :-
i. The Courtrooms as well as the video conferencing room in District Courts, Sector 43, Chandigarh.
ii. Video Conferencing Rooms in the Hospitals i.e. PGIMER, Sector 12, Chandigarh, Govt. Multispecialty Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh and Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
iii. Video Conferencing Rooms established in all Police Stations, UT, Chandigarh.
iv. Video Conferencing Rooms established at Model Jail, Burail, UT, Chandigarh.
v. Video Conferencing Rooms established at CFSL, Sector 36, Chandigarh.
vi. Video Conferencing Rooms in the Office of Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh and Sub Divisional Magistrates, UT, Chandigarh.
vii. Video Conferencing rooms in the New Chandigarh Building, Sector-9, Chandigarh.
viii. Office room of Adviser to the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh.
ix. Office rooms of all the Administrative Secretaries and Head of the Departments of UT, Chandigarh.
x. Office rooms of DGP, IGP, SSP/UT, SSP/Security &Traffic, SSP/SP Headquarters, SP/ City and all DSPs of Chandigarh Police.
xi. Video Conferencing Rooms at Police Headquarters, Ground Floor, UT, Chandigarh.
xii. Office room of Secretary State Legal Service Authority, U. T., Chandigarh.
xiii. Office room of Chief Judicial Magistrate (Legal Aid), U.T., Chandigarh
2. The said notification shall come into effect from the 1st July, 2024.

The 30th June, 2024
No. 435042-HIII(2)-2024/8998.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act 46 of 2023), read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi Notification bearing No. S.O 2506(E) dated 28th June, 2024, and in supersession of all earlier notifications, rules, orders etc. issued in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh is pleased to appoint the Police Officers mentioned in Column (2) of Schedule appended hereto, during their terms of office as such officers, to be the Special Executive Magistrates and confers on them the powers of an Executive Magistrate empowered under Sections of the said Sanhita mentioned in Column (3) thereof within their respective jurisdiction in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, namely :-
