The 27th January, 2026
No. 577724/UTFI(3)/2025/988 .—Whereas, a preliminary Notification No. 43/3/ 327/ 97630- UTFI(3)/2025/10647 dated 10.07.2025 was issued Under Section 11 of "The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act. 2013" (herein referred to as 'said Act of 2013') for acquisition of land for public purpose namely "For construction of LHS/RUB 2X5.50mX3.50m (Shifted location) at KM 239/7-8 in lieu of level crossing No. 123-C at KM 239/6-7 on UMB-CDG Railway line" in Village Raipur Kalan, Hadbast No. 371, Union Territory, Chandigarh. The said notification was published in the Union Territory, Chandigarh Government Gazette dated 10.07.2025 and in three (03) daily newspapers i.e. 'The Tribune', 'Dainik Bhaskar' & 'Ajit' dated 12.07.2025. The Public Notice regarding the substance of the said notification in local language (Punjabi) was got published in the locality as per Rapat No. 322 of Village Raipur Kalan, U.T., Chandigarh dated 11.07.2025 of the Roznamcha Waqayati of the Patwar Circle, in the office of Tehsildar, U.T., Chandigarh. The said notification was also uploaded on the official website of U.T. Chandigarh.
Whereas, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh after considering the report made under sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the said Act of 2013 is satisfied that the land specified below is needed by the Government at public expenses for public purpose namely for "For construction of LHS/RUB 2X5.50mX3.50m (Shifted location) at KM 239/7-8 in lieu of level crossing No. 123-C at KM 239/6-7 on UMB-CDG Railway line". In this connection, based on Census Survey of the affected families, a Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme was prepared as per provisions of Section 16 of the said Act of 2013 by the Administrator-cum-Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Central), which has been reviewed by the Collector and then submitted to the Commissioner, as per provisions of Section 17 of the Act of 2013.
And, whereas, the Commissioner, Rehabilitation and Resettlement has approved the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme on 31.10.2025 and forwarded the said report to be made available to the public and uploaded on the official website of U.T. Chandigarh on 31.10.2025 as per Section 18 of the said Act of 2013.

JAN. 27, 2026 (MAGHA 07, 1947 SAKA)The summary of Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme includes benefits such as choice of annuity at the lump sum rate of Rs. 5,00,000/- to each affected family, Resettlement Allowance of Rs. 50,000/- and stamp duty, registration fee shall be borne by the requiring body.
Now, therefore, this declaration is made under the provisions of Section 19 of "the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013" and further under the provisions of Section 21(1) of the said Act, 2013 a public notice is made to whom it may concern that the Government intends to take possession of the land and that claims to compensations and rehabilitation and resettlement for all interest in such land along with their objections, if any, to the measurement made under Section 20 be made to the Land Acquisition Collector, U.T., Chandigarh, Sector-17, Chandigarh. All the persons interested in the land can appear personally or through an agent or through an advocate not being less than 30 days and not more than 6 months after the date of publication of this notice and to state the nature of their respective interests in the land and the amount and particulars of their claims to compensation of such interests, their claims to Rehabilitation and Resettlement along with their objections, if any, to the measurement made under Section 20.
Plan of the land may be inspected in the office of the Land Acquisition Collector, U.T., Chandigarh, 3rd Floor, D.C Office, Sector-17, Chandigarh.
