NOTIFICATION
No. 154/CH/2026-P.Admn.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 13A of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Administration of the Union Territory of Chandigarh hereby designates Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS (AGMUT: 2006) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the Union Territory of Chandigarh with effect from the date she takes over charge and until further orders in place of Shri Swapnil M. Naik, IAS.
2. Ms. Prerna Puri shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the Administration of Union Territory of Chandigarh, which she may be holding before such assumption of office.
3. Ms. Prerna Puri while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Chandigarh shall not hold any additional charge whatsoever under the Administration of Union Territory of Chandigarh except that she should be designated Secretary to the Administration of the Union Territory of Chandigarh in charge of Election Department in the Union Territory Secretariat.
