No. LD-2026/9212.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 3 of the National Security Act, 1980, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, hereby directs, the District Magistrate, Chandigarh, to make orders, directing any person to be detained under the said Act, with a view to preventing him/her from acting in any manner prejudicial to the security of the State or from acting in any manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order or from acting in any manner prejudicial to maintenance of supplies and services essential to the community.
This Notification shall remain in force for a period of three months, with effect from 26.05.2026.

No. 610107-FS&CA-2026/4405.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 53 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as 'said Act') and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh intends to amend the Chandigarh Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011 issued by the Chandigarh Administration vide Notification bearing No.4/4/21-HII(3)-2011/16450 dated 12.09.2011 hereunder;
Therefore, the following draft, which the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh proposes to issue is hereby published as required under sub-section (4) of Section 53 of the said Act, for information of general public and all persons likely to be affected thereby;
Notice is hereby given that the aforementioned draft shall be taken into consideration by the Chandigarh Administration on or after the expiry of period of Fifteen days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette of Chandigarh Administration;
Any person having any objection or suggestion regarding the proposed amendment in the Chandigarh Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011 may send his/her objection or suggestion in writing to the Controller, Legal Metrology, U.T., Chandigarh within the said period of Fifteen days failing which the draft shall be taken into consideration in the present form.

DRAFT RULES
THE CHANDIGARH LEGAL METROLOGY (ENFORCEMENT) (2nd AMENDMENT)
RULES, 2026
1. Short title, extent and commencement – (1) These rules may be called the Chandigarh Legal Metrology (Enforcement) (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2026.
2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette of Chandigarh Administration.
2. In Rule 15 of The Chandigarh Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011 (hereinafter referred to as 'principal rules'), after sub rule (1), the following sub-rules shall be inserted as follows:
1 (a) Verification and stamping of low risk weights and measures as specified in Schedule XII shall be made on the basis of submission of self-certification by the applicant in Form A of Schedule XIII.
1 (b) Verification and stamping of Medium risk and High risk weights and measures as specified in Schedule XII shall also be made on the basis of submission of third party certification from licensed repairer as specified in Form B of Schedule XIII (Third-party herein means repairer who possesses bona fide license issued by the Controller)
