No. SW3/ICC/2026/109655.—In exercise of the powers under Section 4(1) of Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, a Joint Internal Complaint Committee is hereby re-constituted to redress the grievances of working women on their complaints of sexual harassment in work place in respect of Department of Social Welfare Women & Child Development, Integrated Child Development Services, Chandigarh Child & Women Development Corporation, Chandigarh Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes & Minorities Financial & Development Corporation and all its allied units, comprising of the following :-

No. E-607248/FII(6)-2026/134712/6531.—Leprosy is an Infectious disease and a major public health concern in the Union territory of Chandigarh and leads to physical deformity and morbidity if the patient is not treated early and is also associated with stigma and discrimination. It is a curable disease with full course of Multi Drug Therapy (MDT). Early diagnosis and complete treatment of leprosy is the corner stone of Leprosy Prevention and Control Strategy.
Whereas, the Union Territory of Chandigarh intends to bring down Leprosy infection and case load to elimination level in a time bound manner and requires health personnel and field functionaries like Doctors, Pathologists / Microbiologists to report cases identified by them for due treatment follow up and Leprosy Post Exposure Prophylaxis (LPEP);
Therefore, in pursuance of the D.O. No.Z.14020/05/2025-Lep dated 14.05.2025 issued by the Government of India, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh hereby declare that "Leprosy" as a "Notifiable Disease" in the "Union Territory of Chandigarh" applicable across all sectors-Government, private, non-governmental organizations, corporate healthcare providers, and medical institutions including private medical colleges. There should be mandatory reporting of all diagnosed cases to the State Leprosy Officer (SLO), U.T. Chandigarh within a period of two weeks.
And whereas, it is imperative that all the diagnosed Leprosy cases should be reported to the appropriate authority for early diagnosis and complete treatment of the disease.
Whosoever, is reporting or notifying Leprosy shall maintain a prescribed register and retain a copy of the complete format that has been submitted to the State Leprosy Officer (SLO) for all the new cases diagnosed or being treated in the Union Territory of Chandigarh with effect from the date of publication of this Notification.
