No. 23lCG 12018 (Special), Whereas, the E,lection Commission had announced the schedule for Second Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 1't January.2O18 as the quali$ring date, of Chhattisgarh State, vide its letter No. 23ILET/ECVFLINC/ERD-EV2018,Dated 07th May, 20 I 8; and
Whereas, the period for filing claims & objections in Chhattisgarh State was originally fixed from 3 1't July, 201 8 (Tuesday) to 21't August, 201 8 (Tuesday); and Whereas, the draft rolls were published on 31't July, 2018 in the State; and Whereas, the Election Commission has decided that the period for filing claims & objections should be extended up to 31't August, 2018;
Now, therefore, the Election Commission in exercise of the power conferred by the proviso to Rule 12 of the Registration of Electoral Rules, 1960, extends, for all Assembly Constituencies in the state of Chhattisgarh, the period of flling claims & objections upto 3l't Au6iust, 2018 (Friday) for the ongoing Second Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 1't January, 2018 as the qualifling date.
