In pursuance of the provision of Section 28-A of the Representation of the People Act, l95l (No. 43 of 1951) and in view ofthe directions contained in the Election Commission of India's letterNo. 43411lESO26l94 MCS, dated24th October, 1994, all Police Officers desighated by the State Governmpnt for the conduct of General Elections 2018 shall be deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission for the period commencing ftom the date ofnotifieation calling for such election and ending with the date of declaration of the result of such election and accordingly, sueh Police Officers shall, during that period, be subject to the control, superintendence and discipline of the Election Commission"
