THE CHIIATTISGARH RAJTM KUIIIBH (KALP) MELA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2019
An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Rajim Kumbh (Kalp) Mela Act, 2006
(No.22 of2006).
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of
India, as follows :-
l. (l) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Rajim Kumbh (Kalp) Mela Short title, (Amendment) Act,2019.
:;tjil.r...""i:o e) It shall extend to such area as may be notified in the Official Gazette, by the
State Govemment, as the Rajim Kumbh (Kalp) MelaArea, from time to time.
(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. IntheChhattisgarhRajimKumbh(Kalp)MelaAct,2006 (No. 22 of2006), - Amendment of
the Principal Act, (a) in the preamble, for the words "Kumbh (Kalp) Mela", the words "Maghi Punni
Mela" shall be substituted:
(b) insub-section(1)ofSection l, for the short title "the Chhattisgarh Rajim Kumbh (Kalp) MelaAct, 2006", the short title " the Chhattisgarh Rajim Maghi Pumi Mela Act,2006" shall be substituted; and
(c) for the word "Kumbh (Kalp) Mela", wherever they occur, the word "Maghi
' Punni Mela" shall be substituted.
3. In thePrincipalAct,inSection 2,forclause (7), the following shall be substituted, Amendment of
Section 2.
