An Act to give maximum economic benefits to the persons affected by acquisition of agricultural land in rural areas for the purpose of encouraging development work under various schemes of the State of Chhattisgarh.
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Seventieth Year of the
Republic of India, as follows :-
I (1) ThisActmaybecalled the Chhattisgarh Right to Fair Compensation and Short title, extent Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement and ( Determination of MultiplyingFactor in case of RuralAreas )Act, 2019. commencement' @ It shall extend to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.
(3) It shall come into force flom the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. (l) "Rural Areas" means areas other than urban area defined under Chhattisgarh Definitions.
Land Revenue Code, 1 959 (20 of 1 959), urban area notifi ed for this Act fiom time to time and areas declared as specific area.
@ Words and expressions used herein but not defined shall have the same meaning as assigned to them under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 20 1 3 (No. 30 of 2013) and Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 (20 of 1959).
3. The Compensation to be given to those whose land is acquired under the Right to Fair Determining Factor.
