No.l00/ES-l ICG-LNG[:0I9 :- WHEREAS, the seat of Sh. Bhima Mandavi in ths Legislative Assembly of the State of Chhattisgartr, elected frorn 88-Ilantewada (ST) Assembly Constiuency in the Statq hss become vacant on 9fi April, 2019 due to the sudden demise of Shri Bhima lvlandavi; and
2. WHEREAS, a bye-election is to bc held for the purpose of frlling the said vacancy;
3. NOW, TIIEREFORE, in pursuancc of sub-section (2) of section 150 and sections 30 and 56 of the Representation of tlre People Act, l95l (43 of l95l), the Elcction Commission of India hereby-
(A) calls upon thc said 88-Dantcwada (ST) Asembly Constituency in the State of Chhattisgarh, to elect, before 29n Septomber, 2019 (Wedne*dey) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thcreunder, a person belonging to any of tho Sohedule Tribcs of the Statc, for the purposE of filling the said vacancy in the Legislative Assernbly of the Sate;
(B) appoints, with respect to the said elcctioni
a. the 46 Septcrnber,20lg (Wednesday), as the last date for making nominations;
b. the 5fr September, 2019 (Thunday), as the datc for the serutiny of nominations; c. the ?fi September, 20 I 9 (Saturday), as the last date for thc withdrawal'of candidatureo; d. the 23d September, 2019 (Monday), as the date on which a poll shall, if nocessary, be taken; and
e. the 29h September, 2019 (Sunday), as the date beforc which the election shall he completed; and
(C) fixes tfu hours from 7:00 A.M to 3.00 P,M as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above for the election.
