CHHATTISGARH ORDINANCE

THE CHHATTTSGARH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION (AMENDMENT) ORDINANC4 2019.
An Ordinance to further amend the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 (No.23 of 19s6).
Promulgated by the Governor of Chhattisgarh, in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of India.
Whereas, the State Legislature is not in session and the Governor of Chhattisgarh is satisfied that, the circumstances exist, which render it necessary for him to take immediate action.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Chhattisgarh is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance :-
1. (l) This Ordinance may be called the Chhauisgarh Municipal Short title, extent Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019. and commencement.
(2) It shall extend to the whole State of Chhattisgarh. (3) It shall come into force with effect from the date of its publication
in the Official Gazette.
2. During the period of operation of this Ordinance, the Chhattisgarh Chhattisgarh amended.
Section 5.
4. In the Principal Act, in Section 9,* Amendment of (i) In sub-section (l), for clause (a), the following shall be substituted, Section 9' Provided that proceedings of election of Mayor, Speaker any depar-tmental Committees or any of the Committee shall not be stayed, pending the election of such seat."
