NOTIFICATION
No.F l0-6412009/29-1(2).- The following draft amendment of the Chhattisgarh Ration Card Rules, 2016, which the State Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) and clause (a) of sub- section (2) of Section 40 of the National Food Security Act,2013 (No.20 of 2013) read with sub-section (l) and clause (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of Section 30 of the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutritional Security Act, 2012 (No.5 of 2013), proposes to make, is hereby, published as required by sub-section (l) of Section 40 of the National Food Security Act,2013 (No.20 of 2013), for the information of all persons likely to be effected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft shall be taken into consideration after the expiry offifteen days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person before the specified period, during office hours in the office of the Director, Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, C-Block, Block-2 Third Floor, Indrawati Bhawan, Naya Raipur, shall be considered by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
DRAFTAMENDMENT
In the said rules,-
I . In rule 2, in sub-rule ( I ), in clause (c), for the figure "2004" , the figure "2016" shall be substituted. 2. In rule 3, for sub-rule (1), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
" Ration card shall be of Antyodaya, Priority and Mukhya Mantri Khadyanna Sahayata Yojana and General Household families."
3. In rule 3, in sub-rule (2), after clause (b), the following shall be added, namely:-
"(c) General Households, classified in clause (m) of sub-section (l) of Section 2 of the Act."
4. For rule 4, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"4. Exclusion of persons or households for ration card.- The State Govemment may, from time to time by notification, create categories of excluded persons or families under this rule and such person and their family members shall stand excluded from the date of publication of such notification." 5. After rule 5, the following shall be added, namely:-
"5.1. For ration card of General Households, alongwith the application in the Proforma approved by the Director, Food, the following documents shall be attached,-
futrqqd, ftqis ro frswr zorq r8r6 (r) (a) For verification of state domicile and error free confirmation of residential address, photocopy of Aadhaar card of head of the family and other members.
(b) In case where Aadhaar card is not available, photocopy of Aadhaar Enrollment acknowledgement slip and photocopy of any photo identity card approved by the Director, Food.
(c) Passport size photograph of Head of the household and other members.
Submission of application, verification and process for issue of ration card of General Household families shall be according to provisions specified in rule 8, rule 9, rule 10, rule I I and rule 13. Verification of ration cards for General Household families shall be according to the provisions ofrule 14.
For rule 7, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"7. Continuance of the existing ration cards.- All valid ration cards issued before the commencement of these rules and in existence shall remain in force till they are cancelled under this rules. Renewal of existing ration cards shall be according to orders which the State Government may issue, from time to time."
