TIrE CHHATTISGARH POLICE (AMENDMENT)ACT, 2019
An Act to further amend the Chhattisgarh Police Act,2007 (No. 13 of2007).
Be it enacted by the Ctrhattisgarh Legislature in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of
India, as follows :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Police (Amendment)Act,2019. :l;i.r::t;.r1:u ' 8) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the OfficialGazette.
2. (l) Forsub-section(l)ofSection4l oftheChhattisgarhPoliceAct,200T (No. 13 Amendment of of2007), (hereinafterreferredtoasthePrincipita.tl,thefollowingshallbe section 41' substituted, namely :-
'(l) Thetermofofficeofamember, and the chairperson, shall be two
years and may be eligible for re-appointrnent for another term:
Provided that the chairperson shall continue to hold offtce
till his successor enters his office, or for further six months,
whichever is earlier."
