CHHATTISGARH MTJNICIPALITIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020
AnActfurthertoamendtheChhattisgarhMunicipalitiesAct, 1961(No.37of1961).
B" it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legisldture in the Seventy First Year of the Republic
of India, as follows :-
l. (l) ThisActmaybecalledtheChhattisgarh Municipalities (Amendment) Act, Short title and commencement.

Amendment of Section l6l.
For proviso of sub- section (l) of Section 16l of the Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, l96l (No. 37 of l96l), the followingshall be substituted, namely :-
" Provided that the State Government mayfom time to time, by Notification published in the Official Gazette, exempt the transfer of some or all immovable properties, partly or fully, temporarily or permanently, from the provision contained in this sub-section, subject to such conditions as it may speciff in the Notification."
