No.2480lR.No.380122-112021.-Inexerciseofthepowersconferredbysub-section(l)ofSectiong5readwith Section 43 of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniy an,l993 (No. I of 1994), the State Govenrment, hereby, makes the following amendment in the Chhattisgarh panchayat Nirvachan N iyam, l995,,namely :-
AMENDMENT
In the said rules,-
l. After rule 9-A the following shall be added, namely :-
'9-B Alignment of panchyat Voters List to the Voters List prepared by the Election Commission of India- ( 1 ) The voters list for panchayat election shall be prepared by dividing, according to panchayats, the voters whose names appear in the current voters list prepared by the Election Commission ofindia, in respect of election booths of assembly elections falling within the panchayat area;
(2) The voters list as updated by the Election Commission of India till the date prior to the date of publication of the public notice issued by the State Election Commission for preparation of voters list, alone shall be the basis for action under sub-rule (l);
(3) The voters list prepared in accordance with sub-rule (2) shall be published for inviting claims and objections under rule 10.,,
