क्रमांक 3331/डी-7-92/जसं/2003 (P.F.)-2.⸺ राज्य शासन, बांध सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2021 की कंडिका 11 में प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य हेतु राज्य बांध सुरक्षा समिति (State Committee on Dam Safety SCDS) का निम्नानुसार गठन करता हैः-

| 4 | अध्यक्ष, केन्द्रीय जल आयोग द्वारा नामांकित केन्द्रीय जल आयोग का एक प्रतिनिधि (निदेशक स्तर से कम का न हो) | सदस्य |
| 5 | आई.आई.टी. भिलाई एवं एन.आई.टी. रायपुर से हाइड्रोलॉजी या बांध रूपांकन से संबंधित 02 विषय विशेषज्ञ | सदस्य |
| 6 | अध्यक्ष, केन्द्रीय विद्युत प्राधिकरण द्वारा नामांकित केन्द्रीय विद्युत प्राधिकरण का एक प्रतिनिधि (निदेशक स्तर से कम का न हो) | सदस्य |
2. राज्य बांध सुरक्षा समिति राज्य के बांधों के Dam failure related disasters को रोकने हेतु बांध सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2021 के साथ संलग्न तृतीय शेड्यूल में निर्दिष्ट कार्यों, गाईड लाईन्स एवं अन्य निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए कार्यों का संपादन करेगी। समिति के कार्यों में सहायता हेतु उप समितियों का गठन कर सकती है, इनको कार्यालयीन सहायता राज्य बांध सुरक्षा संगठन हेतु प्रावधानित स्टॉफ द्वारा प्रदान की जावेगी। समिति किसी भी बांध के स्वामी के प्रतिनिधि एवं बांध सुरक्षा के अन्य विशेषज्ञों, जिन्हे वह उपयुक्त समझे, को आमंत्रित कर सकेगी.
3. समिति की बैठक वर्ष में दो बार होगी तथा एक बैठक मानसून के पूर्व आयोजित की जावेगी.
4. राज्य बांध सुरक्षा समिति, बांध सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2021 के प्रावधानों के अंतर्गत कार्य सम्पादन हेतु यथा आवश्यक अन्य अधिकारियों/इंजीनियरों की सेवाएं ले सकेगी.

No. 3331/D-7/92/WR/2003 (P.F.)-2.⸺ In exercise of the powers conferred under section 11 of the Dam Safety Act 2021, it is hereby notified for information of all concerned Stakeholders that a State Committee on Dam Safety (SCDS) in respect of Chhattisgarh State is constituted comprising of the following Members/Officers/Engineers as detailed below with immediate effect-
| 1 | Engineer-in-Chief, Water Resources Department, C.G. | Chairperson |
| 2 | 05 Chief Engineers from Water Resources Department and Other Departments/Boards/Corporations. | Members |
| 3 | 05 Representative of States (Officers from upstream and downstream states) i.e. Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisa, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (Chief Engineer level Officer) | Members |
| 4 | A representative of Central Water Commission, to be nominated by Chairman, CWC (not below the rank of Director) | Member |
| 5 | 02 Experts in the field of hydrology or dam design from engineering institutes of IIT Bhilai and NIT Raipur. | Members |
| 6 | A representative of the Central Electricity Authority, to be nominated by Chairman, CEA (not below the rank of Director) | Member |
2. The above State Committee shall discharge such functions as specified in the Third Schedule attached to the above Act as may be necessary to prevent dam failure related disasters under this Act as per guidelines, standard and other directions on dam safety issued by the Authority. The Committee, in discharge of its functions, shall be assisted by such Sub-Committees as it may consider necessary, and the secretarial assistance to the State Committee as well as its Sub-Committees shall be provided by the State Dam Safety Organization,. The Committee shall meet twice in a year and one meeting shall be held before the onset of the monsoon season. The Committee may invite the representative of the owner of any specified dam and such other experts in Dam Safety as it may consider appropriate, for the discharge of its functions.
3. The State Committee may also co-opt any other Officers/Engineers as and when his/her service is required for performing/executing the provisions contained in the above Dam Safety Act, 2021.
