NOTIFICATION
No. 14356/Rules /2022 . In exercise of the powers conferred under Articles 225 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the High Court of Chhattisgarh hereby makes the following amendments in the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules , 2007, which shall come into force with immediate effect : -
AMENDMENTS
1. Rule 24(6) shall be deleted from the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules , 2007 : -
"24(6) A case coming before the Court in the exercise of its ordinary or extraordinary original criminaljurisdiction except the cases under Section 15 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. " 2. Clause (vii) shall be inserted in sub -rule (1) of Rule 23 of the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules , 2007: - "(vii) WritPetition for commutation of death sentence and / or any matter incidental thereto where death sentence has been confirmed by the Supreme Court . "
