No.12455 /Rules / 2023 . In exercise of powers under Articles 225 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the High Court of Chhattisgarh hereby makes the following amendment in the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules , 2007, which shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of Government of Chhattisgarh : -

After Rule 356, following shall be added : -
356(A) Whenever the High Court issue notices to the Victim/Prosecutrix or Support Person/ Authorized Person/ Informant in Criminal cases , the notice in Form No. 20 & 21, as the case may be, shall be issued .

Asdirected by the Hon'ble High Court vide order dated ... , Police Station Court on Vs. passed in { arising out of Crime No. District ............ } , you are hereby authorized to serve the notice upon the Victim/ Prosecutrix or Support Person/ Authorized Person/ Informant/ Complainant to appear either in person or through duly engaged counsel before the Hon'ble at 10:30 A.M. for hearing of the bail application . You are informed to do the needful for compliance of the order of this Court . Particulars of..Victim/ Prosecutrix or Support Person/ Authorized Person/ Informant/ Complainant are kept in closed envelope (enclosed herewith ) which you have to open for the purpose and you are to ensure that after the purpose is over, the particulars of the Victim/ Prosecutrix or Support Person/ Authorized Person/ Informant / Complainant are closed in the envelope and send the same along with service report of the notice to the undersigned.
However, it is not necessary for the Victim/ Prosecutrix or Support Person/ Authorized Person/ Informant / Complainant may appear personally or he /she may engage a counsel to represent his / her case by appearing . If he / she is not able to engage a counsel he /she may get the help of the concerned District Legal Services Authority.
