अनधसूचना
सां. 318/रा.स.-मल्टी/2/2024 (1). - यतः, भारत के राष्ट्रपनत ने लोक प्रनतनननधत्व अनधननयम , 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 12 के अधीन ािरी , और तारीख 08 रवरी, 2024 को भारत के रापित्र में प्रकानत अनधसूचना द्वारा नीचे की सारणी के स्तम्भ (1) में नवनननदाष्ट राज्यों की नवधान सभा के प्रत्येक ननवाानचत सदस्यों से यह अपेक्षा की है नक वे उक्त सारणी के स्तम्भ (2) में राज्यों के सामने नवनननदाष्ट सांख्या में सदस्य ननवाानचत कर दें:

अतः, अब उक्त अनधननयम की धारा 39 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा 56 के अनुसरण में ननवााचन आयोग एतद्दर््ाराः-
(अ) उक्त ननवााचन के सांबांध में ननम्ननलनखत ननधाारित करता हैः-
(क) नाम ननदेनत करने की अनततम तारीख - 15 रवरी, 2024 (गुरूवार) (ख) नाम ननदेनों की सांनवक्षा की तारीख - 16 रवरी, 2024 (ुक्रवार) (ग) अभ्यनाताएां वापस लेने की अांनतम तारीख - 20 रवरी, 2024 (मांगलवार) (घ) वह तारीख, नसिको यनद आवश्यक हुआ तो मतदान होगा, - 27 रवरी, 2024 (मांगलवार), और (ङ) वह तारीख नसिसे पूवा ननवााचन सम्पतन करा नलया ािएगा - 29 रवरी, 2024 (गुरूवार), और
(आ) 09:00 बेि पूवााह्न से 04:00 बेि अपराह्न तक का समय , ऐसे समय के रूप में ननयत करता है नसिके दौरान यनद आवश्यक हुआ तो , उक्त नवनननदाष्ट तारीख को, मतदान होगा।

No. 318/CS-Multi/2/2024(1): - Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under Section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on 08th February, 2024 been pleased to call upon the elected members of each of the Legislative Assemblies of the States, specified in column (1) of the TABLE below, to elect to the Council of States, the number of member(s) specified against that State in column (2) of the said TABLE:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 39 and Section 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby-
(A) appoints, with respect to the said election;
(a) the 15th February, 2024 (Thursday), as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 16th February, 2024 (Friday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations; (c) the 20th February, 2024 (Tuesday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures; (d) the 27th February, 2024 (Tuesday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and (e) the 29th February, 2024 (Thursday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and (B) fixes the hours from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken in all the above-mentioned States on the date specified above for the election.

NOTIFICATION
No. 318/CS-Multi/2/2024(2). - In pursuance of Section 21, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 22, of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission, in consultation with the Government of each of the States, specified in the column (1) of the TABLE below, hereby-
(i) designates the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said TABLE to be the Returning Officer; and
(ii) appoints the officer(s), specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said TABLE, to be the Assistant Returning Officer(s) to assist the Returning Officer in the performance of his/her functions;
