 HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, BILASPUR

Bilaspur, the 5th July 2024

NOTIFICATION

No. 10391/Rules/2024.- In exercise of the powers conferred under Articles 225 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the High Court of Chhattisgarh hereby makes the following amendment in the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules, 2007 :-

AMENDMENTS

1. "Wherever the words,

(a) 'Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Code of Criminal Procedure/Cr.P.C.

(b) I.P.C.

(c) Indian Evidence Act, 1891/Indian Evidence Act, 1872/Evidence Act'

occur in the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules, 2007, shall be replaced with the words,

(a) 'The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023

(b) The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023

respectively."

2. "Wherever the Rule/Section of the "Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Penal Code and Indian Evidence Act" occur in the High Court of Chhattisgarh Rules, 2007, shall be replaced with the concerned Rule/Section of "The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023" respectively."

3. "The above amendments shall come into force from 01-07-2024."
