बैचलर ऑफ फार्मेसी ( बी. फार्म ) चार वर्षीय डिग्री पाठ्यक्रम
1. प्रयोज्यता
( 1 ) फार्मेसी में अंडरग्रेजुएट डिग्री कोर्स (संक्षेप में 4 साल का डिग्री कोर्स) चार साल की अवधि का होगा , और संबंधित शाखा में बैचलर ऑफ फार्मेसी (बी. फार्म) के रूप में नामित किया जाएगा । (2) पाठ्यक्रम के सफल समापन के बाद बी. फार्म की डिग्री प्रदान की जाएगी ।
(3 ) मूल्यांकन उक्त पाठ्यक्रम में छात्र द्वारा अर्जित ग्रेड और क्रेडिट के आधार पर होगा।
(4) बी. फार्मेसी कार्यक्रम एक कठोर और अंतःविषय चार - वर्षीय डिग्री कार्यक्रम प्रदान करना है जो औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण , फार्मास्युटिकल विज्ञान के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अभ्यास और विद्वान संकाय सदस्यों की देखरेख में अनुसंधान परियोजनाओं के साथ एकीकृत है । पाठ्यक्रम और शिक्षण और सीखने की प्रक्रिया स्नातकों के कैरियर पथ के विकास को बढ़ाने के लिए व्यावहारिक अनुभव के साथ ज्ञान को एकीकृत करती है ।
2. प्रवेश के लिए पात्रता
( 1 ) उम्मीदवार को संबंधित राज्य /केंद्र सरकार के प्राधिकारियों द्वारा आयोजित 10+ 2 परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करनी होगी , जिसे एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडियन यूनिवर्सिटीज (एआईयू) द्वारा 10+ 2 परीक्षा के समकक्ष मान्यता प्राप्त है, जिसमें अंग्रेजी एक विषय के रूप में और भौतिक विज्ञान , रसायन विज्ञान , गणित (पी.सी.एम. ) और या जीव विज्ञान ( पी.सी.बी. / पी.सी.एम.बी. ) वैकल्पिक विषयों के रूप में व्यक्तिगत रूप से शामिल है ।
(2 ) उपरोक्त परीक्षाओं में से किसी के समकक्ष फार्मेसी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा अनुमोदित कोई अन्य योग्यता भी बी. फार्म के पहले सेमेस्टर में प्रवेश के लिए पात्र होगी । अवधि ।
(3 ) फार्मेसी अधिनियम की धारा 12 के तहत फार्मेसी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा अनुमोदित संस्थान से डिप्लोमा पाठ्यक्रम परीक्षा (डी. फार्मा) उत्तीर्ण करने वाले अभ्यर्थियों को तीसरे सेमेस्टर (बी. फार्म पार्श्व प्रवेश प्रवेश) में प्रवेश दिया जाएगा ।
(4) सभी बी. फार्म में प्रवेश । पाठ्यक्रम प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर की शुरुआत में या प्रथम वर्ष के स्तर पर अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा निर्धारित अनुसार पेश किए जाएंगे । प्रवेश नीति विश्वविद्यालय के शासी निकाय द्वारा तय की जाएगी । पीसीआई यूजीसी और सरकार द्वारा जारी दिशानिर्देशों का पालन किया जाएगा ।
(5 ) अनिवासी भारतीय ( एनआरआई) , भारतीय मूल के व्यक्ति ( पीआईओ) और विदेशी नागरिक भी बी. फार्म के पहले सेमेस्टर में प्रवेश के लिए पात्र होंगे । पाठ्यक्रम , बशर्ते कि उन्होंने ( 10 + 2 ) /उच्च माध्यमिक परीक्षा या कोई अन्य समकक्ष परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की हो । ऐसे उम्मीदवारों को प्रवेश एमिटी ( 6 ) विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा आयोजित प्रवेश परीक्षा के आधार पर दिया जाएगा ।
विश्वविद्यालय किसी छात्र को बी. फार्म में प्रवेश दे सकता है । अन्य संस्थानों/विश्वविद्यालयों से स्थानांतरण पर पाठ्यक्रम । ऐसे प्रवेश कार्यक्रम के संबंध में विश्वविद्यालय की शैक्षणिक आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति के अधीन किसी भी स्तर पर किए जा सकते हैं । बशर्ते, इस योजना के तहत प्रथम वर्ष के दौरान किसी भी छात्र को प्रवेश नहीं दिया जाएगा । छत्तीसगढ़ राजपत्र, दिनांक 8 अक्टूबर 2024
1188 (1) ( 7 ) विश्वविद्यालय के पास असंतोषजनक शैक्षणिक प्रदर्शन या कदाचार के आधार पर किसी भी छात्र का प्रवेश रद्द करने और उसके करियर के किसी भी चरण में उसकी पढ़ाई बंद करने के लिए कहने का अधिकार सुरक्षित है ।
(8 ) अध्यादेश और प्रवेश नीति , पात्रता और चयन प्रक्रिया , जैसा कि ऊपर बताया गया है, की अकादमिक परिषद की मंजूरी के अधीन समय- समय पर समीक्षा और संशोधन किया जा सकता है ।
(9 ) एसटी/एससी/ ओबीसी/पीडब्ल्यूडी उम्मीदवारों के लिए आरक्षण समय- समय पर उच्च शिक्षा विभाग , राज्य सरकार द्वारा जारी दिशानिर्देशों के अनुसार लागू होगा।
3. पाठ्यक्रम और संकायः
( 1 ) यह अध्यादेश स्नातक डिग्री कार्यक्रम के लिए चार साल ( आठ सेमेस्टर) और उसी स्नातक डिग्री कार्यक्रम में पार्श्व प्रवेश के छात्रों के लिए तीन साल ( 6 सेमेस्टर) पर लागू होगा, सिवाय उन लोगों के जिनके लिए विश्वविद्यालय के पास अलग अध्यादेश हैं ।
(2 ) पाठ्यक्रम को फार्मेसी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया (पीसीआई) द्वारा निर्धारित बैचलर ऑफ फार्मेसी (बी. फार्म) के रूप में नामित किया जाएगा ।
(3 ) कार्यक्रम अध्ययन बोर्ड की सिफारिशों, अकादमिक परिषद और प्रबंधन बोर्ड की मंजूरी और फार्मेसी काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया , नई दिल्ली से अनुमोदन के बाद संबंधित संकाय द्वारा पेश किया जाएगा ।
4. पाठ्यक्रम की अवधि
( 1 ) पाठ्यक्रम की अवधि चार वर्ष होगी जो आठ समान सेमेस्टर और पार्श्व प्रवेश छात्रों के लिए तीन शैक्षणिक वर्षों (छह सेमेस्टर) में विभाजित होगी ।
(2) सेमेस्टर ब्रेक सहित अकादमिक कैलेंडर प्रत्येक वर्ष की शुरुआत में अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा घोषित किया जाएगा ।
(3) बी. फार्म कोर्स पूरा करने के लिए एक छात्र के लिए उपलब्ध अधिकतम अवधि आठ वर्ष होगी । पाठ्यक्रम की अधिकतम अवधि में छात्र के लिए अनुमत निकासी , अनुपस्थिति और विभिन्न प्रकार की छुट्टियों की अवधि शामिल होगी , लेकिन इसमें निष्कासन की अवधि, यदि कोई हो, शामिल नहीं होगी ।
(4) प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर की शुरुआत में, प्रत्येक छात्र को शैक्षणिक कैलेंडर में निर्धारित अवधि के भीतर अपना पंजीकरण कराना होगा ।
5. परीक्षाएँ
( 1 ) विश्वविद्यालय प्रत्येक पाठ्यक्रम - इकाई (ए) सतत आंतरिक मूल्यांकन और (बी) अंतिम सेमेस्टर परीक्षाओं में छात्र के प्रदर्शन के मूल्यांकन को अपनाएगा जो सेमेस्टर के अंत में आयोजित की जाती हैं ।
(2 ) सतत आंतरिक मूल्यांकन के साथ - साथ अंतिम सेमेस्टर परीक्षाओं के लिए विस्तृत परीक्षा योजना पीसीआई दिशानिर्देशों के अनुसार अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा निर्धारित की जाएगी । छत्तीसगढ़ राजपत्र, दिनांक 8 अक्टूबर 2024

(3 ) किसी छात्र को निम्नलिखित में से किसी भी कारण से स्कूल/ संकाय के डीन /निदेशक द्वारा अंतिम सेमेस्टर परीक्षा में बैठने से रोका जा सकता है:
( अ) छात्र के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की गई ।
(ब) यदि संबंधित विभागाध्यक्ष की अनुशंसा पर
(i ) सेमेस्टर में व्याख्यान/ट्यूटोरियल/प्रैक्टिकल कक्षाओं में उपस्थिति 75 % से कम या अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा निर्धारित की जा सकती है ।
(ii ) सेमेस्टर के दौरान आंतरिक मूल्यांकन में प्रदर्शन असंतोषजनक पाया गया है । (4) विश्वविद्यालय नियमित छात्रों के लिए प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर के अंत में पूर्ण परीक्षा आयोजित करेगा । यह परीक्षा उन छात्रों को भी सैद्धांतिक/व्यावहारिक पाठ्यक्रमों में शामिल होने में सक्षम बनाएगी जो पिछले सेमेस्टर की परीक्षा में असफल हो गए हों या चूक गए हों ।
(5 ) शिक्षक स्कूल /संकाय के डीन निदेशक की अनुशंसा पर कुलपति के अनुमोदन से आंतरिक मूल्यांकन परीक्षा में चूक गए या अनुत्तीर्ण छात्रों के लिए मेकअप परीक्षा आयोजित कर सकते हैं । (6) यदि किसी अभ्यर्थी ने सेमेस्टर परीक्षा पूरी तरह से उत्तीर्ण कर ली है तो उसे डिविजन/अंक/ग्रेड में सुधार या किसी अन्य उद्देश्य के लिए उस परीक्षा में दोबारा बैठने की अनुमति दी जाएगी । (7) उपरोक्तानुसार अध्यादेश और परीक्षा प्रक्रिया की अकादमिक परिषद की मंजूरी के अधीन समय - समय पर समीक्षा और संशोधन किया जा सकता है ।
6. प्रदर्शन का मूल्यांकन ( आकलन)
(1 ) अंकों का आधार
(ए) निरंतर आंतरिक मूल्यांकन और अंतिम सेमेस्टर परीक्षाओं से युक्त सतत मूल्यांकन प्रणाली का पालन करते हुए प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर में एक उम्मीदवार के प्रदर्शन का मूल्यांकन पाठ्यक्रम के प्रत्येक घटक के लिए अलग से किया जाएगा । पाठ्यक्रम के प्रत्येक घटक में अधिकतम अंक अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा घोषित मूल्यांकन और ग्रेडिंग की योजना के अनुसार होंगे । (बी) अंतिम सत्र की परीक्षाओं के अलावा, छात्र का पाठ्यक्रम में उसके शैक्षणिक प्रदर्शन के लिए केस चर्चा/प्रस्तुति /विश्लेषण, व्यावहारिक, होमवर्क असाइनमेंट , टर्म पेपर , प्रोजेक्ट, फील्ड वर्क, सेमिनार , क्विज़ , क्लास टेस्ट या किसी अन्य मोड के माध्यम से मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा जैसा कि पाठ्यक्रम में निर्धारित किया जा सकता है । प्रत्येक पाठ्यक्रम की बुनियादी संरचना अध्ययन बोर्ड द्वारा निर्धारित की जाएगी और अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा अनुमोदित की जाएगी । (सी) प्रत्येक पाठ्यक्रम में पाठ्यक्रम के शैक्षणिक भार के आधार पर कई क्रेडिट दिए जाएंगे , जिनका मूल्यांकन व्याख्यान, ट्यूटोरियल और प्रयोगशाला कक्षाओं, क्षेत्र अध्ययन और/या स्व - अध्ययन के साप्ताहिक संपर्क घंटों के आधार पर किया जाएगा । परियोजना और शोध प्रबंध के लिए क्रेडिट अपेक्षित कार्य की मात्रा पर आधारित होंगे ।
(2) क्रेडिट का आधार
(ए) एक घंटे का संपर्क व्याख्यान (एल) एक क्रेडिट के बराबर होगा जबकि दो घंटे का संपर्क ट्यूटोरियल (टी) और/या व्यावहारिक (पी) एक क्रेडिट के बराबर होगा । इस प्रकार , क्रेडिट = { L + (T + P )/2 } । किसी विषय में क्रेडिट पूर्ण संख्या होगी, आंशिक संख्या नहीं । यदि किसी विषय में क्रेडिट अंश में आता है तो इसे निकटतम पूर्ण संख्या में पूर्णांकित किया जाएगा । छत्तीसगढ़ राजपत्र, दिनांक 8 अक्टूबर 2024
1188 (3 ) (बी) एक उम्मीदवार एक सेमेस्टर के लिए आवंटित क्रेडिट तभी अर्जित करेगा जब वह उक्त सेमेस्टर उत्तीर्ण करेगा ।
(सी) एक उम्मीदवार बी. फार्म की डिग्री के लिए तभी पात्र होगा जब वह उस पाठ्यक्रम के लिए आवंटित सभी क्रेडिट अर्जित कर लेगा जिसमें उसने प्रवेश लिया है ।
7. उपस्थिति
विद्यार्थियों से शत - प्रतिशत उपस्थिति की अपेक्षा की जाती है । छात्रों के नियंत्रण से परे बीमारी या अन्य वैध कारणों को पूरा करने के लिए अधिकतम 25 % की छूट दी जा सकती है, जिसके लिए एचओआई/ एचओडी की लिखित अनुमति अनिवार्य है । किसी भी सेमेस्टर परीक्षा के लिए नियमित छात्र के रूप में उपस्थित होने वाले उम्मीदवारों को अध्ययन के प्रत्येक विषय में अलग से आयोजित व्याख्यान और व्यावहारिक कक्षाओं में कम से कम 75 प्रतिशत भाग लेने की आवश्यकता होती है , बशर्ते कि उपस्थिति में 5 % तक की कमी को कुलपति द्वारा माफ किया जा सकता है । 8. उच्च सेमेस्टर में पदोन्नति
एक छात्र को किसी कार्यक्रम के अगले शैक्षणिक वर्ष/सेमेस्टर के लिए पदोन्नत किया जाएगा, यदि उसने विश्वविद्यालय के नियमों द्वारा निर्दिष्ट न्यूनतम शैक्षणिक आवश्यकताओं को पूरा किया है। 9. क्रेडिट आधारित ग्रेडिंग प्रणाली
( 1 ) प्रत्येक पाठ्यक्रम को क्रेडिट के संदर्भ में उसके वेटेज के साथ संबंधित बोर्ड ऑफ स्टडीज (बीओएस) द्वारा अनुशंसित किया जाएगा और अकादमिक परिषद और शासी निकाय द्वारा अनुमोदित किया जाएगा ।
( 2 ) पाठ्यक्रम के लिए पंजीकृत प्रत्येक छात्र को एक लेटर ग्रेड प्रदान किया जाएगा । किसी छात्र को दिया जाने वाला लेटर ग्रेड आंतरिक सतत मूल्यांकन और अंतिम सेमेस्टर परीक्षा में उसके संचयी प्रदर्शन पर निर्भर करेगा ।
( 3 ) उपयोग किए जाने वाले अक्षर ग्रेड और उनके संख्यात्मक समकक्ष (जिन्हें ग्रेड प्वाइंट कहा जाता है) इस संबंध में अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों के अनुसार होंगे और समय - समय पर संशोधन के अधीन होंगे ।
(4 ) लेटर ग्रेड प्रत्येक विषय , सैद्धांतिक या व्यावहारिक और पाठ्यक्रम के प्रत्येक मॉड्यूल ( घटक) के लिए अलग से प्रदान किए जाएंगे ।
( 5 ) एक सेमेस्टर के लिए सेमेस्टर ग्रेड प्वाइंट औसत ( एसजीपीए) एक सेमेस्टर में एक छात्र द्वारा प्राप्त पाठ्यक्रम ग्रेड अंकों का भारित औसत है और उस सेमेस्टर में एक छात्र के प्रदर्शन को दर्शाता है । प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर के लिए एसजीपीए की गणना अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों के अनुसार की जाएगी ।
( 6 ) संचयी ग्रेड प्वाइंट औसत ( सीजीपीए) एक छात्र द्वारा डिग्री कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश के बाद से लिए गए सभी पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए प्राप्त पाठ्यक्रम ग्रेड अंकों का भारित औसत है और एक छात्र के संचयी प्रदर्शन को दर्शाता है ।
(7 ) प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर के अंत में, एसजीपीए और सीजीपीए की गणना दशमलव के दो स्थानों तक बिना पूर्णांकन किए की जाएगी । छत्तीसगढ़ राजपत्र , दिनांक 8 अक्टूबर 2024

( 8 ) किसी विशेष विषय को उत्तीर्ण /उत्तीर्ण करने के लिए न्यूनतम आवश्यक ग्रेड और ग्रेड प्वाइंट उसकी अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों के अनुसार होगा ।
( 9 ) एक छात्र किसी विशेष विषय के लिए आवंटित सभी क्रेडिट अर्जित करेगा यदि वह उस विषय को उत्तीर्ण ( उत्तीर्ण) कर लेता है ।
( 10 ) डिग्री प्रदान करने के लिए, उम्मीदवार को इस संबंध में अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों के अनुसार न्यूनतम सीजीपीए प्राप्त करना चाहिए ।
( 11 ) पाठ्यक्रम की अंतिम सेमेस्टर परीक्षा के अंत में अंतिम परीक्षा ग्रेड शीट पाठ्यक्रम में अर्जित सीजीपीए दिखाएगी । इस संबंध में अकादमिक परिषद द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों के अनुसार सीजीपीए को समकक्ष प्रतिशत अंकों में परिवर्तित किया जा सकता है ।
10. प्रतिलेख
पाठ्यक्रम पूरा होने के बाद एक छात्र को जारी की गई प्रतिलेख में छात्र द्वारा सेमेस्टर वार लिए गए सभी पाठ्यक्रमों, प्राप्त ग्रेड , प्रत्येक सेमेस्टर का एसजीपीए और अंतिम सीजीपीए का समेकित रिकॉर्ड शामिल होगा ।
11. उपरोक्त के बावजूद , विश्वविद्यालय यह सुनिश्चित करेगा कि बी. फार्म की ओर जाने वाला अध्ययन कार्यक्रम । डिग्री पीसीआई या यूजीसी के प्रासंगिक नियमों और मानदंडों द्वारा निर्धारित मानक के अनुरूप होनी चाहिए ।
12. अध्यादेश और परीक्षा , मूल्यांकन नीति और उच्चतर सेमेस्टर में पदोन्नति , जैसा कि ऊपर बताया गया है , अकादमिक परिषद की मंजूरी के अधीन समय - समय पर समीक्षा और संशोधन किया जा सकता है ।

BACHELOR OF PHARMACY ( B. Pharm . ) FOUR YEAR DEGREE COURSE 1. APPLICABILITY
( 1 ) The Undergraduate Degree Course in Pharmacy ( 4 years Degree Course , in brief) shall be of four - year duration, and shall be designed as Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm . ) , in the concerned branch .
(2) The degree of B. Pharm . shall be awarded after successful completion of the Course.
(3) The evaluation shall be on the basis of Grades and Credits earned by the student in the said course .
(4) B. Pharm . Program is to provide a rigorous and interdisciplinary four - year degree program integrated with industrial training , practice in various domains of pharmaceutical sciences , and research projects under the supervision of learned faculty members . The curriculum and the teaching and learning process integrate knowledge with hands - on experience to enhance the career path development of the graduates .
2. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSIONS
(1) Candidate shall have passed 10 + 2 examination conducted by the respective state / central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+ 2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities ( AIU ) with English as one of the subjects and Physics , Chemistry , Mathematics ( P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B . ) as optional subjects individually .
(2) Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations shall also be eligible shall for admission to first semester of B. Pharm . Course .
(3 ) Candidates who have passed the diploma course examination (D. Pharm . ) from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act shall be admitted to Third Semester (B. Pharm . lateral entry admission) .
(4) Admission to all B. Pharm . Courses shall be offered at the beginning of each semester or as prescribed by the academic council , at the first year level . The Admission policy shall be decided by the Governing Body of the University . The guidelines issued by the PCI /UGC and the Government shall be adhered to .
(5) Non - Resident Indians (NRI ) , Persons of Indian Origin ( PIO) and Foreign National shall also be eligible for admission to first semester of B. Pharm.

Course , provided they have passed ( 10 + 2 ) / Higher Secondary Examination or any other equivalent examination . Admission to such candidates shall be made on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the Amity University .
(6) The University may admit a student to B. Pharm . Course on transfer from other Institutes/ Universities . Such admissions may be made at any level subject to fulfillment of academic requirements of the University in respect of the program. Provided, no student shall be admitted during the first year , under this scheme .
(7) The University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any student and ask him/her to discontinue his /her studies at any stage of his / her career on the grounds of unsatisfactory academic performance or misconduct .
(8) The Ordinance and the Admission Policy , eligibility & Selection Procedure , as above , may be reviewed and amended from time to time subject to the approval ofthe Academic Council .
(9) Reservation for ST / SC/ OBC / PWD candidates shall be applicable as per the guidelines issued by Department of Higher Education , State Government time to time .
3. COURSE AND FACULTY :
( 1 ) This Ordinance shall be applicable to four years ( eight semester) for undergraduate degree program and three years ( 6 semesters) for lateral entry students in the same undergraduate Degree Program , except those for which the university has separate ordinances .
(2) The course shall be designated as Bachelor of Pharmacy ( B. Pharm . ) as laid down by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) .
(3) The program shall be offered by the concerned faculty after the recommendations of Board ofstudies , approval of Academic council & Board of Management and approval from the Pharmacy Council of India , New Delhi .
4. DURATION OF THE COURSE
(1) The duration of the course shall be four years divided into eight equal semesters and three academic years ( six semesters) for lateral entry students .
(2) The academic calendar including semester breaks shall be declared by the Academic Council at the beginning of each year .
(3) The maximum duration available to a student for completion of B. Pharm. Course shall be eight years . The maximum duration of the course shall include the period of withdrawal , absence and different kinds of leave permissible to a student, but it shall exclude the period of Rustication, if any .

1188 (4) At the beginning of each semester , every student shall have to register himself / herself within the duration prescribed in the academic calendar .
5. EXAMINATIONS
(1 ) The University shall adopt the evaluation of student performance in each course- unit ( a) Continuous Internal Assessment and (b ) End Semester Examinations which are held at the end of Semester .
(2) The detailed examination scheme for Continuous Internal Assessment as well as End Semester Examinations shall be laid down by the Academic Council as per the PCI guidelines .
(3) A student may be debarred from appearing in the End Semester Examination by the Dean/Director of the School / Faculty due to any of the following reasons :
(a) Disciplinary action taken against the student .
(b) On the recommendation of concerned Head of the department , if
(i ) The attendance in the Lecture / Tutorial / Practical classes is below 75 % or as may be determined by the Academic Council , in the semester .
(ii) The performance in the Internal Assessment during the Semester has been found unsatisfactory .
(4) The University shall conduct full examination at the end of each semester for the regular students . This examination will also enable those students to appear in the theory / practical courses who may have failed or missed the previous semesters ' examination .
(5) The teachers may conduct the makeup examination for the students who have missed or failed in the Internal Assessment Examination , with the approval of the Vice -Chancellor upon recommendation of Dean/ Director of the School /Faculty .
(6) If a candidate has passed a semester examination in full he / she shall be permitted to reappear in that examination for improvement in division / marks / grades or for any other purpose .
(7) The Ordinance and the Examination Procedure , as above , may be reviewed and amended from time to time subject to the approval of the Academic Council .
6. EVALUATION ( ASSESSMENT ) OF PERFORMANCE
(1) BASIS OF MARKS
(a) The performance of a candidate in each semester shall be evaluated for each component of the curriculum separately following the system of continuous evaluation consisting of continuous internal assessment and end semester examinations . The maximum marks in each component of curriculum shall be as per the scheme of evaluation and grading declared by the Academic Council .

(b ) In addition to end term examinations , student shall be evaluated for his academic performance in a course through case discussion/ presentation/ analysis , practical , homework assignments , term papers , projects , field work , seminars , quizzes , class tests or any other mode as may be prescribed in the syllabi . The basic structures of each course shall be prescribed by the Board of Studies and approved by the Academic Council .
(c) Each course shall have a number of credits assigned to it depending upon the academic load of the course which shall be assessed on the basis of weekly contact hours of lecture , tutorial and laboratory classes , field study and/or self- study . The credits for the project and the dissertation shall be based on the quantum ofwork expected .
(2) BASIS OF CREDITS
(a) One hour of contact lecture (L) shall be equal to one credit whereas two hours of contact tutorial (T) and / or practical ( P) shall be equal to one credit . Thus , Credit = { L + (T + P ) /2 } . Credit in a subject shall be a whole number , not fractional number . If a credit in a subject turns out in fraction then it shall be - rounded up to nearest whole number .
(b) A candidate shall earn the credits allotted to a semester only when he /she passes the said semester .
(c) A candidate shall be eligible for the award of degree of B. Pharm. , only when he / she earns all the credits allotted to the course in which he / she has taken admission .
7. ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to have 100 % attendance . Relaxation of maximum 25 % may be allowed to cater for sickness or other valid reasons beyond the control of the students for which written permission of HoI/ HoD is mandatory . Candidates appearing as regular students for any semester examination are required to attend at least 75 percent of the lectures and practical classes held separately in each subject of the course of study , provided that a short fall in attendance up to 5 % can be condoned by the Vice Chancellor .
8. PROMOTION TO HIGHER SEMESTERS
A student shall be promoted for the next academic year/ semester of a programme , if he/ she has fulfilled the minimum academic requirements specified by the University regulations .

1188 (9) 9. CREDIT BASED GRADING SYSTEM
(1 ) Each course along with its weightage in terms of credits shall be recommended by the concerned Board of Studies ( BoS ) and shall be approved by the Academic Council and the Governing Body .
(2) Each student registered for a course , shall be awarded a letter grade . The letter grade awarded to a student shall depend upon his cumulative performance in the internal continuous assessment and end Semester examination .
(3 ) The letter grades to be used and their numerical equivalents ( called the Grade Points ) shall be as per the regulations framed by the Academic council in this regard and subjected to amendment time to time .
(4) The letter grades shall be awarded for each subject , theoretical or practical and for each module ( component ) of the curriculum separately .
(5) The Semester Grade Point Average ( SGPA ) for a semester is a weighted average of course grade points obtained by a student in a semester and reflects the performance of a student in that semester . The SGPA for each semester shall be calculated as per the regulations framed by the Academic Council .
(6) The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the weighted average of course grade points obtained by a student for all courses taken since his /her admission to the degree programme and reflects the cumulative performance of a student .
(7) At the end of each semester , SGPA and CGPA shall be calculated up to two places of decimal without rounding off.
(8) To clear / pass a particular subject the minimum required grade and grade point shall be as per the regulations framed by the Academic Council thereof .
(9) A student shall earn all the credits allotted to a particular subject if he / she clears (pass) that subject .
(10) For the award of degree , a candidate should have secured minimum CGPA as per the regulations framed by the Academic Council in this regard .
(11) The final examination grade sheet at the end of final semester examination of the course shall show the CGPA earned in the course . The CGPA can be converted into equivalent percentage marks as per the regulations framed by the Academic Council in this regard .
10. TRANSCRIPT
The transcript issued to a student after completion of the course shall contain the consolidated record of all the courses taken semester wise by the student , grades obtained , SGPA of each semester and the final CGPA .

11. Notwithstanding the above , the University shall ensure that the study programme leading to B. Pharm . degree shall conform , to the standard set by the relevant regulations and norms of the PCI or the UGC .
12. The Ordinance and the Examination , Evaluation Policy and Promotion to higher semester , as above , may be reviewed and amended from time to time subject to the approval of the Academic Council .
