NOTIFICATION

No. 217(Mis.)/II-15-19/2023.— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of the Article 229 of the Constitution of India, Hon'ble the Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, makes the following amendment in Chhattisgarh High Court Services (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 2017:-

AMENDMENT

"In Column No. 5 of existing Sl. No. 24, First Schedule (Gazetted Officers) to said Rule, the word "Librarian" is deleted."In First Schedule (Gazetted Officer) to said Rule, the existing sentence mentioned in column no. 5 & 6 of Sl.No. 27 for the post of "Librarian", is substituted with the following;

By promotion strictly on merit-cum-seniority basis from amongst "Senior Assistant Librarians" of the establishment. Having minimum 3 years experience as "Senior Assistant Librarian" on the establishment of this High Court.	12 (56100- 177500)

29	Senior Assistant Librarian	02	Class-II	By promotion strictly on merit-cum- seniority basis from amongst Assistant Librarians of the establishment. Having minimum 5 years experience as Assistant Librarian on the establishment of this High Court.	11 (49100- 155800)

By promotion strictly on merit-cum- seniority basis from amongst Assistant Librarians of the establishment. Having minimum 5 years experience as Assistant Librarian on the establishment of this High Court.

After existing Sl.No. 28 of First Schedule (Gazetted Officer) to said Rule i.e. the post of Assistant Editor (I.L.R.), following rows (sl. no. 29 & 30) are inserted;

30	Assistant Librarian	11	Class-II	By promotion from Library Assistant (A.G.-III) (C.S.J.A.) OR By direct recruitment through competitive examination. In case, suitable candidates are not available for promotion, as mentioned above, then the posts shall be filled-in by direct recruitment. For direct recruitment:- Candidate must have bachelor's/master's degree in Library Science OR Library and Information Science from any recognized University. In case of promotion :- Minimum 7 years experience as Library Assistant (A.G.-III) on the establishment of this High Court subject to passing of qualifying test to be conducted by Registry with regard to Library Science & knowledge of Computer and English & Hindi, consisting of 100 marks and the candidate has to secure minimum 50% marks in each subject to qualify the said test.	10 (43200- 136500)

Assistant Librarian

Class-II

By promotion from Library Assistant (A.G.-III) (C.S.J.A.) OR By direct recruitment through competitive examination. In case, suitable candidates are not available for promotion, as mentioned above, then the posts shall be filled-in by direct recruitment. For direct recruitment:- Candidate must have bachelor's/master's degree in Library Science OR Library and Information Science from any recognized University. In case of promotion :- Minimum 7 years experience as Library Assistant (A.G.-III) on the establishment of this High Court subject to passing of qualifying test to be conducted by Registry with regard to Library Science & knowledge of Computer and English & Hindi, consisting of 100 marks and the candidate has to secure minimum 50% marks in each subject to qualify the said test.

FIRST SCHEDULE (CLASS-III)

In Class-III, First Schedule to Rules 2017, the row of existing Sl. No. 8 i.e. Assistant Librarian is deleted and the existing Sl. No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 4-A, 5, 6 & 7 are renumbered as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8.

In the existing Fourth Schedule to said Rule, after sl. no. 30-A, a new row 30-B is inserted as below;
