क्रमांक 2606/डी-7-92/ज.सं./2003 (P.F)-2.— राज्य शासन बांध सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2021 की कंडिका 11 में प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य द्वारा राज्य बांध सुरक्षा समिति (SCDS) का गठन पूर्व में अधिसूचना क्रमांक 3321/डी-7-92/ज.सं./2003(P.F.)-2 दिनांक 07-07-2022 द्वारा किया गया था, को पुनरीक्षित कर निम्नलिखित सदस्य/अधिकारी/अभियंता को शामिल किया गया हैः-

2. राज्य बांध सुरक्षा समिति राज्य के बांधों के Dam failure related disasters को रोकने हेतु बांध सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2021 के साथ संलग्न तृतीय शेड्यूल में निर्दिष्ट कार्यों, गाईड लाईन्स एवं अन्य निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए कार्यों का संपादन करेगी। समिति के कार्यों में सहायता हेतु उप समितियों का गठन कर सकती है। राज्य समिति के साथ-साथ इसकी उपसमितियों को सचिवीय सहायता संबंधित राज्य बांध सुरक्षा संगठन द्वारा प्रदान की जाएगी। समिति किसी भी बांध के स्वामी के प्रतिनिधि एवं बांध सुरक्षा के अन्य विशेषज्ञों, जिन्हें वह उपयुक्त समझे को आमंत्रित कर सकेगी।
3. समिति की बैठक वर्ष में दो बार होगी तथा एक बैठक मानसून के पूर्व आयोजित की जावेगी।
4. राज्य बांध सुरक्षा समिति, बांध सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2021 के प्रावधानों के अंतर्गत कार्य संपादन हेतु यथा आवश्यक अन्य अधिकारियों/इंजीनियरों की सेवाएं ले सकेगी। Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, the 12th June 2025
NOTIFICATION
No. 2606/D-7/92/WR/2003 (P.F)-2.— In exercise of the powers conferred under section 11 of the Dam Safety Act 2021, the State Committee on Dam Safety (SCDS) in respect of Chhattisgarh State was constituted vide No. 3331/ D-7/92/WR/2003 (P.F)-2 dated 07-07-2022 is now revised with comprising of the following Members/Officers/Engineers as detailed below with immediate effect-

| 3 | Representative of States (Officers from upstream and downstream states) i.e. Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisa, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Telangana (Chief Engineer level Officer) | Members |
| 4 | A representative of Central Water Commission, to be nominated by Chairman, CWC (not below the rank of Director) | Members |
| 5 | Experts in the field of hydrology or dam design from engineering institutes of IIT, NIT, NIH or any other Institution (Maximum 03 Nos.) | Members |

2. The above State Committee shall discharge such functions as specified in the Third Schedule attached to the above Act as may be necessary to prevent dam failure-related disasters under this Act as per guidelines, Standard and other directions on dam safety issued by the Authority. The Committee, in discharge of its functions, shall be assisted by such Sub-Committees as it may be considered necessary, and secretarial assistance to the State Committee as well as its Sub-Committees shall be provided by the State Dam Safety Organization. The Committee shall meet twice a year and one meeting shall be held before the onset of the monsoon season. The Committee may invite the representative of the owner of any specified dam and such other experts in Dam Safety as it may consider appropriate, for the discharge of its functions.
3. The State Committee may also co-opt any other Officers/Engineers as and when his/her service is required for performing executing the provisions contained in the above Dam Safety Act. 2021.
