क्रमांक एफ 07-1/2019/जनगणना/गृह-दो.— जनगणना नियम, 1990 के नियम 8(i) के अनुसरण में, राज्य सरकार, एतद्द्वारा, सामान्य जानकारी के लिए, गृह मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार की अधिसूचना क्रमांक का.आ. 4698 (E) दिनांक 07 जनवरी, 2026 को निम्नानुसार पुनः प्रकाशित करती हैः-

नई दिल्ली, दिनांक 7 जनवरी, 2026 का.आ. 99 (अ) - केंद्रीय सरकार, जनगणना नियम 1990 के नियम 6क और नियम 6घ के साथ पठित जनगणना अधिनियम, 1948 (1948 का 37 ) की धारा 3 और धारा 17क द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत के राजपत्र असाधारण, भाग II, खंड 3 उपखंड (ii) तारीख 9 जनवरी, 2020 में प्रकाशित भारत सरकार के गृह मंत्रालय (भारत के महारजिस्ट्रार का कार्यालय) की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 119 (अ) तारीख 7 जनवरी, 2020 को उन बातों के सिवाय अधिक्रांत करते हुए, जिन्हें ऐसे अधिक्रमण से पहले किया गया है या करने का लोप किया गया है, यह घोषणा करती है कि भारत की जनगणना 2027 से संबंधित मकान सूचीकरण का कार्य 1 अप्रैल, 2026 से 30 सितंबर, 2026 के बीच भारत के सभी राज्यों और संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों में प्रत्येक राज्य और संघ राज्य क्षेत्र द्वारा विनिर्दिष्ट तीस दिन की अवधि के दौरान किया जाएगा। स्व-गणना के लिए विकल्प भी उपलब्ध होगा, जो कि तीस दिन की घर-घर जाकर मकान सूचीकरण का कार्य आरंभ होने से ठीक पहले पंद्रह दिन की समयावधि में संचालित किया जाएगा ।

No.F-07-1/2019/Census/Home-2.— In pursuance of Rule 8(i) of the Census Rules, 1990, the State Government hereby, for general information, re-publishes the Notification No. S.O. 4698(E) dated 7th January, 2026 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, as under :-

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th January, 2026 S.O. 99(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 and section 17A of the Census Act, 1948 (37 of 1948) read with rules 6A and 6D of the Census Rules, 1990 and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs (Office of the Registrar General, India) number S.O. 119(E), dated the 7th January, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub - section (ii), dated the 9th January, 2020, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby declares that the houselisting operations of the Census of India 2027 shall take place between 15t April, 2026 and 30th September, 2026 in all States and Union territories in India during the period of thirty days specified by each State and Union territory. There shall also be an option for self- enumeration which shall be conducted in fifteen days' time period just before the start of house to house houselisting operations of thirty days.
