No. 35/ C. -Home . Whereas there is reason to believe that efforts may be made to give renewed publicity to the so-called Independence Resolution or Pledge of 1930, and whereas the said Resolution or Pledge contains words which tend to bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection towards the Govern- ment established by law in British India, and therefore contravene the provisions of section 4 (1) of the Indian Press (Emergency Powers) Act , XXIII of 1931,
now therefore it is hereby declared ihat every copy of newspaper , book , or other document contamng such words of the Resolution or Pledge shall be forfeited to His Majesty under section 19 of the aforesaid Act .
