New Delhi , the 15th August 1947
No. F. 2 (79 ) E.II / 47. -In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 5 of the Judia (Provisional (Constitution) Order, 1947 , and by sub - sections (2) and (3) of section 166 of the Government of India Act , 1935, as adapted by the Hd Order , the (Governor - General is pleased to direct that the following inendments shall be made in the Government of India (Auht and Accomfs ) Order , 1996 , namely--
In the said Order,-
1 The Expressions " in his discretion " , " acing in his liseroton " exercising his individual judgment shall be omitted wherever they occur cxcept in paragraph 2.
2. For the words " Federation ' and " Federal wherever they occur , word " Domimon " shall be substituted . the

In sub -paragraph ( 3 ) of paragraph 2 , the words " end any reference to the (Governor- General , except where the reference is to the Governor-General ucting in his discretion or exercising has mdividual judgment , shall also construed as a reference to the Governor- General im Comeil shall be onnttd
4. To paragraph 6 , the following sub - paragraph shall be added , mameis " ( 3) the provisions of sub paragraphs ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) of this paragraph shall not apply to the first Auditos General of the Domimon of India
5. In sub - paragraph ( 2) of paragraph 7 and sub -paragraph ( 2 ) of paragraph 9 for the words " Order in Council" the words " Order of the Governor - General' shull he substituted
6. Iu paragraph 10 , for the words " this Order and any other Ordet Council" the words " this and any other Order " shall be substituted . מוז
7. In sub - paragraph ( 5 ) of paragraph 11 for the words " exercise his individual judgment after consulting " the word " consult " shall be substituted . 8. In the proviso to paragraph 19 , the words " the Secretary of State shall be omitted.
9 Paragraph 21 shall be omitted
