New Delhi , the 23rd August 1947
No. 70. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (2) of section 5 of the Indian Income - tax Act , 1922 (XI of 1922) , and in supersession of all previous notifications in this regard, the Central Government has been pleasedto appoint with effect from the 17th August 1947-
(n) Mr. K. C. Khanna to officiate as Commissioner of Income -tax for Delhi Province and East Punjab ;
(b) Mr. N. Dandekar, I.C.S. ,to officiate as Commissioner of Income- tax for West Bengal; and
(c) Rai Bahadur G. D. Bagri to officiate as Commissioner of Income-tax for Assam .
