New Delhi , the 30th September 1947
No. 23( 6 ) -I R.P./47. In pursuance of sub - section ( 1) of section 12 of the Rubber ( Production and Marketing ) Act , 1947 (XXIV of 1947 ) , the Central Government is pleased to direct , on the recommendation of the Indian Rubber Board , that a duty of excise at the rate of 8 aunas per 100 lbs . on all rubber produced in all the provin- ces of India shall be levied and collected by the said Board for a period of 3 months with effect from the 1st October 1947 .
