New Delhi, the 23rd October 1947
No. CG.603 (2) -IV. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Essential Supplies (Temporary Powers ) Act , 1946 (XXIV of 1946) , the Central Govern- ment is pleased to direct that the powers conferred on it by sub - section (1) of section 3 of the said Act to make orders in relation to the prohibition of export of ground- nut kernels from the Province of Madras shall be exercis- able also by the Government of Madras subject to the following conditions , namely :-
(1) that no such orders shall remain in force after the 30th November 1947 , and (2) That such orders shall not apply to movement of groundnut kernels against valid export licences issueil by the Central Government for export out of India
