New Delhi, the 29th October 1047

No. 23.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Sea Customs Act, 1878 (VIII of 1878), the Central Government is pleased to direct that all goods imported from or exported to a port in Pakistan shall be treated, for the purposes of the said Act, as goods imported from or exported to a Customs port as the case may be :

Provided that nothing in this notification shall apply to—

(a) goods shipped under section 111 of the said Act, and (b) goods brought into Pakistan from places outside India and Pakistan, and without payment of duty in Pakistan brought thence into India. A. N. PURI, Under Secy. ( 1223 ) 12^4

No. 3O.~In exercise of the powers conferred by sectioa 37 of the Central ExeiRes and Salt Act, 1944 (I of 1944), the Central Government i" pleased to direct that tb* following further amendment shall be made in the Central Excise Bulee, 1944, namely:—

Jn the proviso to rule 12 of the said Eules:

(i) to clausei (b), the word " o r" Bhall be added; and (ii) alter claune (b) the following clause shall be inserted,

namely:—•,

"(c) the goods are exported to Pakistan".
