NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 18th August 1948
No. F.8-11 / 48 - Hajj . The following draft of certain further amendments to the Calcutta Port Haj Committee Rules , 1938 , which it is proposed to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Port Haj Committees Act , 1982 (XX of 1992) is published , as required by sub - section ( 1) of section 28 of the said Act , for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the draft will be taken into consideration on or after the 27th August 1948 .
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft before the date specified will be considered by the Central Government .
Draft Amendmenta
In the said Rules:-
(1) For the proviso to sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule 33 the following proviso shall be substituted , namely: -
"Provided that no payment shall be made by the Bank out of the Haj Fund, except upon a cheque signed by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs and Commonwealth Relations in charge of Hajj " .
(2) In sub - rule (2) of rule 33 , for the words " Executive Officer " wher- ever they occur , the words " Head clerk of the Commitfee" shall be substituted .

No. 21 ( 20) Ous/ 48.- Corrigendum . The following corrections shall be made in the Delhi Province Evacuees ' (Administration of Property ) Rules , 1948 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary , dated July 10, 1948: -
( i) In rule 4 , for " ( 8) in case the application fails to amend the applica- tion in accordance with " read " ( 8) For the purpose of Section 5-A the prescribed objects are : -"
( ii) In the heading to rule 7, for ' Made ' read 'Mode ' .
