NOTIFICATIONS
Dated , the 31st August 1948 .
No. 88.21 (2 ) . In pursuance of sub - section ( 3) of section 1 of the Employees ' State Insurance. Act , 1948 ( XXXIV of 1948 ) , the Central Government is pleased to appoint the 1st September 1948 , as the date on which ( hapters I , II , III and VIII of the said Act shall come into force in all the Provinces of India .
No. SS.21 ( 2 ) . In pursuance of sections 3 and 4 of the Einployees ' State Insurance Act , 1948 (XXXIV of 1948) , the Central Government is pleased to establish with effect from the 1st October , 1948 , the Employees' State Insur- ance Corporation consisting of the following members , namely:-
