No. SS.21 (2 ) A . The first and third Notifications of this Ministry No. SS.21 (2) , dated the 31st August 1948, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary , dated the 1st September 1948, be renumbered as SS.21 ( 2 ) ( 1 ) and SS.21 (2) (8 ) respectively .

In pursuance of sections 3 and 4 of the Employees ' State Insurance Act , 1948 ( XXXIV of 1948) , and in supersession of the second notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour No. SS . 21 (2 ) , dated the 31st August 1948 , the Central Government is pleased to establish with effect from the 1st of October , 1948 , the Employees ' State Insurance Corporation consisting of the following members , namely :-
